Not sure if u know but once u defeated a ship from the hourglass battles and u win the official fight, the moment u sink the other ship there is a 20 minute cooldown where u CANNOT be invaded

Honestly, after having done this with toxie I feel like this is the way forward for grinding the high levels in the hourglass, it gives SO much more for each win I love it :) Glad to see more people are starting to do hourglass defences too! Invading someone who has loot is a lot more fine imo ;D

new idea for faction pvp: if you have the hourglass and defeat crews on the server, not just hourglass people, then faction stash would make sense. but they'd need to be reaper or athena emmisaries for it to count, so you just can't bully the same boat over and over.

For some reason you can purchase the commodities and leave the server, go back to the same outpost, and they will still be there. I left the game for weeks and they were still there waiting to be picked up. You could put on the athena emissary that way.

Just a question when I play hourglass is it better if I play on a guided ship or captained ship when i want to level up guardians of fortune?

Frankly Season 8 singlehandedly got me to uninstall the game. Hourglass isn't fun, and it's incredibly grindy. Seeing the Devs refusing to do anything but do increased XP events was insulting.

I do this now a days mainly because hourglass has died down and waiting for a fight can take 10+ minutes, so I just go sail around and gather loot. I also feel very macho when I win a battle with a ton of loot on board, feel like a true reaper of the bones yk. Like all of these reapers want to be reapers, but are scared of sinking.

Here is the best way. Be on a brig. Invite friend. Friend then leaves and joins own server with brig. This makes you on the same 4 servers. Both then sail to the middle of sea. Start battle at the same time. You should get paired. Then one sails off the map. As soon as the ship explodes lower the hourglass on the sinking ship. But make sure to lower before it actually sinks. This will give the remaining player 2 wins. Keep going for a better streak or turn in. When you turn in, invite friend back and you both get the gold and emissary value.

Can barely win 2 fights in row, unless its against people who throw the match at the beginning. Getting that streak for Grade 5 is impossible feat. Guess it's back to scuttle spam, which seems the fastest method for people like me who suck at PvP.

To be honest its not worth it. The conditions for invasion are very precise nowadays. Let's say we have a small group of 10 divers plus you an odd defender. The divers are prioritized for fights so they are matched with each other based on their skill though the matchmaking may not be great. Since you are an eleventh hourglass who is defending you have to wait these battles out and if two of the divers go down at similar times they once again will be matched with each other. This is even more likely they are differing factions. Now if both divers are athena faction v faction takes place and you (a reaper) will be attacked by whichever more closely matches you in skill. Now of course a larger sample group would nullify this, but it could also make it worse. Imagine you are a defending athena and all other defenders are reaper. If a majority of the divers are athena you'll get left out and the minority of reapers could potentially be absolute sweat lords or total noobs making your fights easier. All of this rng that depends on region along with the fact you could easily get rared and lose your loot with minimal leveling. All of this for a whole level at streak 4 loot grade 5 whereas the normal streak four is around half level for Mysticqux level in this video. Diving is much faster overall and you can now build loot grade with flags making it better. My advice is when you dive the loot grade bonus stays at double, but when you don't dive loot grade gives you four times the level. I know this seems absurd, but even 3x would massively boost the amount of defenders on the seas. As seen at the end of this video loot grade barely effects hg value with Toxie's video of no pvp hg showing perfectly how terrible it is. This should change. Grade 5 loot grade should be bare minimum an extra half level since having hg up with a high streak doesnt effect the amount of level you get from flags won. This means you can drop hg before selling keeping the loot grade. Lastly all flags won in battle should have that marker so you don't have to revote hg to gain guardians of servants level from selling flags. Overall this would balance the feature. The much slower matchmaking with me sometimes having a half hour before invasion compared to a minute in dive needs this kind of boost. It would just make invasions and defense more worthwhile. To balance though and not have defending be the only hg pvp battles they should make it so you get a 2.5x bonus from sinking grade 5 loot stash ships. Since I believe 3x is the bare minimum buff for defending to become worth it 2.5x bonus keeps it near defending while not overtaking it. This combined with less time to dive and more time to defend defending should be balanced and defense may even happen more often. Because of the grace period after battle defending wouldn't instantly get you invaded meaning it still takes more time just less time. My final note is that for people who just want to sell, but outposts are too far to not get matched again Rare can add a marker to say you're ready to sell which gives you double the amount of time to sell. The fastest I got invaded was about 15 minutes after a battle was won so the grace time should be about that much and 30 minutes should be plenty for even a full against gally to get to a nearby outpost and sell their hg. Since I previously suggested features to let you lower hg before selling flags that removes the chances of you guys who get 40 streaks with 90 flags getting invaded mid sell. If anyone finds this on a month old video and gives any care about reading it all please give me your thoughts.

Theres this one island you can harpoon ur ship into the cove and ppl can shot at it but can’t really sink it then you either keg the enemy ship or Spawn kill the other player and take his or her ship outta the area and there ship blows up lol 😂😂😂

This would be fun if people didn't cheat. First time around couldn't figure out how to do it. When I got it to work, the guy fighting me had his ship in the middle of the island, making it impossible to sink. Yet he tells me it's not banable and it's a fair fight
