If you’re going to do this at least do it right and make a straight pull bolt. I have guns that are 100 years old with straight pull bolts. No thank you.

In England during World War II there was a rifle called the Sten. It also had a side-mounted magazine but the soldiers kept using it as a handle which made it very unstable and was a weakness.

@@Blin240by today's standards, yes, but for the middle of a war as a desperate weapon, it was perfectly fine at throwing lead down range. Even the Germans copied it at one point when they were getting desperate. .

If I’m not mistaken didn’t the Sten have a feeding/mag release or catch problem? Isn’t that why they jammed the mag in and held it in place?
