I ran a discbine that width and loved it. 6 times around for headlands was the .magic number for me and utilizing the hydroswing so you are mowing back and forth instead of rounds really speeds things up , congrats sweet machine

I'd like to see more on how that hitch performs. Thanks for showing us, and congratulations on your new machine!

I have cut thousands and thousands of acres with jd mocos. My biggest advice is tilt the head all the way down and use the skid shoes to get ur desired cut height. That's where they cut the best. Only roll the head back if you know there's rocks as it is more forgiving that way. Also as others have said 6 headlands and swing it back and fourth. Sometimes deeres lay a heavy strip in the middle of the swath and it messes with ur dry down, the fix to that is changing the rotation of the middle 2 turtles. Anyway awesome purchase and let me know if you have any questions.

Good morning I think with all new machines take some time patients and you will figure it out. I think I'm the same but just relax it will come. Very nice though. That shield vibrating that not good like you say maybe you can put a couple bolts in place that will look neat and hold better. The foam thing may hold moisture and in time start rusting. Great new machine have fun. Have a good day.

Nice looking Cutter........With the variety of our Hybrid Bermuda grass.... very little dry down time can be gained by using a Conditioner....... Usually w work with a 3 day cycle... Almost everyone uses Disc mowers......What we needed and just aquired were wider Tedders......We had 2 4 basket Krones, but a Case/IH dealer had 2 HT 6101 6 basket Pequeas that he had to move........ So he cut a fantastic deal.......Guess who makes John Deeres carted tedder?

Time is money for sure when you are making hay. And to get ahead of the weather and other obstacles that come during hay season. You will appreciate the time saved by the new machine. Good looking, even pretty like you say. Careful on the road with that 13’.

I always have thought you could use a bigger windrower. I know you hate doing something new but if you start cutting on one side of the field and swing the head side to side coming right back beside your previous pass will save you a lot of time. Once you get on to it, it's pretty easy.

Once you get the hang of that thing you will plain fly. I’d still go 6 passes around , with my 13 ft Center pivot mowing combo I just barely run over the outside windrow doing 6 passes( that’s working from one side of the field to the other). I like pushing forward or down for pivoting to the right and pulling back or up for pivoting left. Hard work always pays off!!

Nice mower Ben it's the big brother to the S300 (10ft side pull) we just bought new and we absolutely love it. You'll be happier the more you use it trust me

Ben, really thought it was a tedder. I'm GREEN with JD envy. Always a learning curve with something new, hang in there. 😊👍💪

I have a c500 with the v10 condition rolls. Mine had the same vibration when it showed up, we used 3/4” 3M double sided tape and it quieted right down. The quick change knives are nice and the tool works pretty decent just don’t lose the damn thing. I’ve got a late model 956 also and I’d say the 500 is a little slicker tool. I run my heads tilted back more than most and we cut fast, no stopping or slowing down. Running the 500 with a 6250R IVT and it’s a match made in heaven. Congrats you will be happy once it’s all figured out.

Nice mower Ben! I got the New Holland 312 with 2 point swivel hitch last year n what a difference in how much hay you can knock down in a hurry! Lol wish I would have gotten the draw bar swivel but o well! Lol Once you get use to it you will get very good swinging that mower around trust me! Being able to move the head around things when mowing is great! Good luck with it! 👍🏻

Your not alone champ. I have some trouble and get frustrated when learning new equipment. Especially if they are newer and not older models.
