I like to think after Star Allies, Dedede got to keep the macho forms strength. Much like how Meta Knight kept the cloning ability. And so Dedede tried to hone it even more. Thus pulling off the stuff he does in Forgotten Land

King Dedede's themes are always a delight to listen to. Everytime you hear that song, you really felt like you're facing a worthy king. He's not just some evil character that you need to defeat, he's a king that you need to overcome, to prove yourself. Doesn't mean that he's the strongest opponent you'll face, but more like a test of how far you have come.

He and kirby will always be rivals to the end. But in being friends and protectors of dreamland they know they will always test one another and give the other an oppurtunity to grow and become better, which in my opinion is what a good rival should do. This music does not reflect an evil king but rather a a relentless and brave warrior who never gives up.

The thing I love the most about Dedede's theme is that it is being made since the first Kirby game. Each game increased it by adding something more. You can hear it better in compilations. But it's amazing, I've never seen other videogame bosses do that
