@spuddGaming how is this after 1 month? when i was a teen i always wanted the a50s, but i could never afford them. Now I can finally get them if i choose. $500 CAD is steep, but i am still very tempted.

Quite literally the best sounding gaming headset I’ve ever owned I only have a few issues, it cannot switch from console video input to PC, I think this can be easily changed by adding a dedicated hdmi pass through port for pc just like there is one for PS and Xbox, another thing is that when you connect your phone and listen simultaneously with game audio, the phone connects to the dock not the headset so as soon as I leave my room with my phone it starts giving problems… why do I need to leave my phone by the dock in order to hear music from it? What if I want to go and eat in my dining room while listening to music or watching a video

@@emanuelcortez1546 It’s a major upgrade imo. The difference is night and day. Even my SteelSeries Arctic Nova Pro’s with custom EQ’s are collecting dust in the drawer. The A50X’s are the way to go

Just got these to replace my Audeze Maxwell (because I broke the dongle). Audeze replaced the dongle but I’m still keeping these too lol. Both are phenomenal headsets!

Love the design and having a charging stand is awesome! I just wish you could just use a dongle for USB Wireless and Bluetooth and not require the whole hub

I returned mine for low volume compared to my old A-50 astros tried to figure it out for a week just sounded like the volume was at 50% or 60% wouldn’t get any louder sad. I feel the manufacturers are lowering the volume from the factory 🤦‍♂️

For music, do you think it goes head to head with the Edifier W950NB? or a KUBA DISCO or AKG K361 or SENNHEISER Hd 559? Does it have a p2 cable to connect directly to the DAC?

but what if you have 2 monitors? one for ps5 and one for pc . if you switch to pc or visaversa you will also lose signal to your monitor... is there a solution for that

I got a set of Astro A50 X headphones and the Mic is not working for me. It works via bluetooth but will not work through the lightspeed connection, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make it work? I was up for about 4 hours last night trying to research this and trying to install new audio drivers etc but nothing worked for me the sound also works through the headset

I have 32GQ750-B monitor and have two HMDI 2.1 cords and followed the tutorial on how to set up Astro a50X to the PS5 did all that and I still have a black screen and when I disconnect everything and hook up just the HMDI that came with the PS5 it works

I have this headset and i love it, especially since I use it to switch when playing my ps5, my ONLY issue with it is the white yellows on the mic arm and the plastic that holds onto the ear cups. The cups themselves stay white and look clean. I've thought about putting a sticker or something over the plastic. that turns yellow.

This was a concern of mine so big thank you for your comment. I wanted the white to go with my aesthetic but I guess I'm not against black if it means avoiding that.

1. It sounds sooo bad on ps5 2. EQ settings on consoles has to be via the mobile app, which is very limited. Poooooor headset, I regret buying it

For me it sounds just fine on PS5, and while it may be a little limited having to EQ in the app when using on console, most headsets don’t have any EQ options at all for console use so this is still a win

@SpuddGaming with all the respect, this is not accurate at all. Even the old generations of Astro were allowing the enduser to adjust the settings (using Astro command center) with no limitations, and they can sync that to the headset. Even this is not an option any more.

Neither of those things are true, you can’t really call something overpriced until you’ve tried it for yourself. And there is a difference between an ad and a paid review. They also have no control over what I say in the video, and the pure fact of the matter is that I now use this headset on a daily basis because I prefer it over any other headset I’ve ever used

I jst got them I also had the gen4 and gen3 and they all still work definitely worth the money I used to say I would never spend 300 on a head set I used to get the turtle beaches for like 150 and ended up buying 4 of em in a 4 months span they kept braking

I skipped the Game to Chat on PS5 and just went USB only, sounds perfect this way! Shame that Sony won't allow Tempest 3D for Headphones over HDMI though.
