@@spsp209 Most of the people in this hobby are consumeristic and always want the new shiny handheld everybody is talking about even if it isn't necessarily better than the ones before it. The RG280V is quite old and therefore the wow factor is gone even though it is still fantastic compared to other handhelds. Anbernic could just rerelease it exactly the same just with a 480p screen and new color options and everyone would go crazy for it.

Trimui Model S is great and not expensive. Very small handheld. Love using it on the train on my commute to work

Nice video, thanks for showing it off. Those loud buttons are a no-go, unfortunately. I feel like the whole point of a super tiny device like this is to do some stealth gaming while at work or out and about and it would just be annoying to draw attention to yourself like that. The RG Nano has nice silent buttons.

I did preorder this device after you folks posted the preorder. I play my miyoo mini pretty comfortably, but it’s so fragile I get nervous traveling with it. I hope this device will be a better fit for everyday travel.

I would definitely get one. For low end emulation, and for quick play when I'm outside, I wouldn't want to fiddle with settings and just wanna game in a few clicks. So the simplistic UI is definitely a plus

Hey nice review. These viewing angles are characteristic of a TN panel, not IPS. You can tell from how it increases contrast or washes out the image vertically, but is kind of stable horizontally.

Very cool review, as always. Pretty interesting device. I'm not a fan of that much small pocketable handhelds, and these loud face buttons, I feel, don't fit a small device like this. That being said, in terms of pocketability, it's definitely a handheld worth of being called as it was called like in this video's title: the new king of mini retro handhelds.

This is nice to have as an alternative to the Miyoo Mini V4 when that permanently goes out of stock. But it even gets dwarfed by that. It should be bigger. Or they should sell a Plus version of this. Something of this size is just a bit gimicky. But it looks tempting and nice to add to my collection with my Boxy Pixel and Slate Gameboys. Love the metal shell.

I feel like these emulators should focus on a clamshell design, more square shape when folded and more compact. Bigger space for both screen and controls when open.

It will cheaper when “officially” revealed by GameKiddy, rumoured at $70. The metal shell does pump up the price, unfortunately.

The metal case brings the price up. Are you new to these handhelds? Try and get anything small CNC and see they will charge you more than the rumored price of this console.

Google has changed their search engine slightly which has affected a lot of gaming sites, we saw a loss of 40% over night, meaning we now make 40% less income, which isn’t fun for us. :(

I love these tiny handhelds but more from a technical standpoint. I grew up with the DMG and Gamegear. I already disliked the size of the GBC and found the PSP cramping my hands, and I even have small hands. That's why I bought a RG405V in an instant when it was shown on your channel. Great feel in my hands :)

@@Desmaad it‘s just the Model Name of the original Gameboy of 1989. Over the years with the gameboy pocket, light, advance, sp etc it became easier to call the first Gameboy „DMG“ or „DMG-01“(ModelNumber) instead of having to say „original Gameboy“ or something like that.

These are super cool from a technical standpoint but super gimmicky in practice. I just know I'd keep it in my pocket for about two weeks before it eventually gets relegated to the shelf as a cool design piece but nothing more. I think Miyoo nailed the absolute smallest size that's still fun to use with the Mini, and even that still pushes it when it comes to hand comfort. Still, this looks like a solid offering from GKD, I just feel like their efforts are a little misplaced.

In the end it all comes down to personal preference but I don't think I'd buy this at that price. I'm very happy with my original Miyoo Mini V2 and Miyoo Mini + Price - Mini is cheaper if you buy direct Shell - Metal is better, but adds some weight in pocket Screen - I believe Mini is better. Definitely on my v2 Power - Roughly the same? Both can play up to PS1 Size - I feel the Miyoo Mini is pocketable and more usable than this sized screen. Going smaller is fun, but with my old eyes, I want a larger screen and that's why I bought a Mini + Operating System - OnionOS is miles ahead of this OS. Yes, it's more about the games but it is nice to have a pretty OS with save states and tons of additional features.

Love everything about it but at $90..... If it was 2 years ago, is a nobrianer. but time has change. Unless it has amazing software, than it may make a bit more sense.
