Philip, I appreciate you brother! I know this message comes from a place of love but it’s a lot of statements that aren’t true. Before my Leica days, I owned 3x the amount of gear. I had every Fuji X lens you can imagine and my work felts disposable as I used every lens under the sun for my YT channel. While you may not enjoy my work now I find it to be more meaningful and gratifying than what I use to shoot (Silhouettes, random dramatic compositions of meaningless street scenes, color blocking me whatever else is trending on YT and instagram.) and it’s important to realize that people grow and change. That has nothing to do with gear but instead a reflection of their photographic journey. You should separate how you feel about the brand from your opinion of my work and my YT as I fear you’re missing the bigger picture. Perhaps one day you’ll see why I photograph differently and understand my perspective as an artist and not just a brand ambassador. Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. Hopefully I’ll have some more knowledge to share soon.

Information changes everything, the more I learned about the history of Leica the more I loved their cameras and the brand. Even if I could only have one I’d still shoot it. Thanks for the kind words!

@@Stockezy Oh yes, so would I - and I do :). I’ve got a silver M-A and a Summicron 35 ASPH and a Summaron 28 5.6 (the matte black one you’ve tested) and that’s my only gear. Actually I’ve also got a WW2 Elmar 50 too that cost very little but it’s still a piece of history and therefore very special to me. I adore each of them every single time I get a chance to use them. Leica’s definitely using their history for branding and increasing their appeal. These auctions have been a bit of a mystery to me though, even if I’ve known about their existence for a while. I’m glad you’ve got the possibility to attend one and document it for the rest of us! Greetings from Norway! :)

I hear ya man! I’m the opposite, I started to get really frustrated with the simulations. Sometimes I just want a clean true image.

Presets and simulations are ok but like a sugar rush and can get boring very quickly, I find with the current Leica sensors all that is required is a minor adjustment in curves and sharpening.
