The new Regency system is so much fun. I seduced the Abbasid Caliph, used that to become his Regent. I then educated son, become his son's friend, his son inherits, and then I get to educate the grandson. The sun then dies at 20, and I'm sitting here with a 15 and a half year-long Regency well educating the 6 month old Abbasid Caliph. By the time the kids come of age my Regency is so entrenched I'm basically running the largest Sunni Muslim realm in the world as a heretic Milète Yazidi king. There's so much amazing role play you can do as a puppet master. You can literally play as the Black Queen of France if you wish now. It's great.

I just love that you're starting as a count compared to some other Lets Play CK3 series. This is more enjoyable for me because it helps build the story and lets things happen. Looking forward to more of this series! :)

Not only is he starting as a count, but his character's family has a ton of history behind it - they're the former kings of Frisia that Charlemagne deposed!

I almost always start as a count, at most the duchy level. I've never played as a king because it feels like you've started halfway through the game.

This the character i started with the most. In CKII and CKIII. One time a foreign army stood on Amsterdam for a hundred years or so. Almost right from the start.

Just a Tip: you can fill your court at first by marrying every umnarried Person in the court. Depending on status and other factors, you can marry your courtiers you need. Dont forget to Set to matrilinial when marrying women in your court. I mostly marry women in my court to Guys with highest prowess (that are Not over 55 years old). Helps getting a halfway decent army at start and different stats aswell. And saves Lots of Money. Also when you search für people you can invite them to court directly (right click Picture). Sometimes they Accept free of chargen sometimes you have to pay travelling fees which are mostly lower, plus you get the advantage of just having and being able to direct them to a fitting Task. (Top offen i goot offered terrible doctors for 50)

You could've disband troops and then when enemy troops will start move to you you can gather them again

Haha, you were right. It was installed but wasn't on for some reason! I guess that shows how much has changed. Well it shouldn't matter much as it will be on from next episode. Thanks for pointing it out. :D

No, just one you get by clicking on the map. It may not be a set character as some counts get randomised stats and traits on the game loading but I didn't test.

An updated series made by someone who knows the game ,isn't trying super hard to role-play, and already has over a hundred episodes out, and is STILL going? Oh fuck yeah, I'm binging this.

Make sure the trollop is in the dungeon. Most times, they just put the cheating harlot on house arrest. In these situations (I only play polygamous faiths and never any that answer to the Dope so I've seen these things a bit more than most), I imprison (and sometimes execute) the cheating wife and kidnap the lover who I then execute too (or starve to death in the dungeon). Staying at max dread seems to be a decent preventative measure as well. Or, if the "wife" is dealing with stress issues, you kill the paramour then banish her. I've had that turn women into lunatics.
