I think that filter is quite useless for the moment. One serious addition would be a "connection" with grid loop's query namely if I have a particular category selected in loop grid I would love to see only the respective subcategories in filter

It has problem here, upon click on each Tab of Taxonomy Filter, then the Posts are loaded in Loop Grid can be blinks, hide old data and append new data. The animation seem to be not good. Any idea in here for fixing that issue?

Thanks for the video. I have multi language site with Polylang. This taxonomy filter shows tags for all languages and there is no way to select the necessary one. These why I can't use this method. Might be I will use tabs for filtering.

Not yet. This is a much requested feature and I am still exploring this one with a 'hack' way to achieve it.

There are a lot of ways to drive this thing crazy. 😅 It doesn´t work on an archive page - if used, the results don´t make any sense and it shows articles in every language (using Polylang). The only possible shortcut is not showing archive titles and avoid archives completely. Arranging by subcategories that someone has already mentioned would be also nice.

yeah its very cool option, but insted of this you should use jet smart filter its much better, in this update nested accordion was good i loved that.

Hi. Imran i have another issue, archive pages are all on current query, the loop grids (i have 2) are showing up only on category, category child and direct child. hi! Great video, it really helped. I have an issue with this widget, whenever I set it to any loop on. it doesn't work. I am trying to use it with the taxonomy set to product tags to filter a product loop grid on a product archive template, but with any product taxonomy I select, the loop grid simply gets blank (even when I select the "all" option on the filter). Any idea why this might be happening?

@@websquadron It hasn't occured to me but the problem is now solved. It started when I tried to adapt the page (home page) for SEO by changing header tags from H1 to H2 in the loop grid where the filter was used. The filter just disappeared on the live page. After making several changes clearing browser and WordPress cache with no result, I noticed that other changes were not also visible. Only then I realised that the filter on the actual page /home was visible. Setting a static home page instead of "posts" in the WordPress Dashboard solved the problem. Thanks for trying to help!

@@websquadron i am using the posts widget and when i go to preview mode and open any one of the post, then the featured image follows to the top of the new page that is opened, followed by the content of the post itself.

My categories or tags are always years. Without success I try to sort them from the most recent: 2023, 2022, 2021. The oldest year is always listed first.

this filter does not work in carousels. I tried multiple times. I need to filter products from loop carousel. I haven't got any solution yet. it only works in grids.

0:50 how do you add the category field under the blog post image? i dont want it to be a taxonomy filter i just want to have like a small text indicating what category my blog is automatically in. i only see options for the excerpts, author, title, time, etc, but i havent seen the category option

Add the Post Info. Remove the 4 it gives. Select Add Item. Choose Terms. Then set the Taxonomy to be Categories. And then style it, remove icon, etc.

The filtering system is a big disappointment. For a more complex website than this tiny example, it is terribly slow (3 to 6 seconds). And why the hell is there no animation (like the portfolio widget has)??? Now we finally have a filter system but we still have to use third party addons because this is so bad.

@@websquadron Post Type is selected as Galleries, but then nothing shows under other fields and under Preview Setting-> It only show Archive related dynamic contents such as Gallery Archive year, Date Archive, Search result. It seems have got the basic things wrong. I have raised case with Elementor also. Lets see what happens.

I'm having trouble showing tags. In the back-office, when I eliminate the Loop Grid, and add a new one and select it in the Taxonomy Filter, all the tags show.... but never in the front-end. I regenerate Files and Data in Elementor and nothing. As soon as I update the page in back-office where I have the filter and the loop, all the tags disappear... And I also get a strange error in de console: Uncaught TypeError: $ is not a function at portfolio/:1004:1179 (anonymous) @ portfolio/:1004 The "portfolio" is the name of my page....
