Great review Chris 🥰💪👍! I sorta agree …. In order of preference effort me: 1) NZXT Mini mic 2) Budget mic 3) NZXT mic in order of mic clarity / audio reproduced from the mic. Looking forward to the next upload 💪😱🤤🥳

The capsule needed a firmware update to properly leverage 24-Bit 96KHz, to which it sounded a lot better post-update. Is this still better?

I have a question, I have the normal version of the NZXT Capsule, but in the NZXT CAM I cannot control the microphone parameters, is it only for the mini version? it would not make sense

That is correct. Check for firmware updates to the bigger one to see if they've added that functionality

I am wondering if you know of any useful ways of running a USB mic through an audio interface without patching it through the headphone/monitor port? While I know you can do a lot through software, I guess I just like the tactile feel of physical controls.

Unfortunately there aren't really ways of connecting a USB mic, via USB, to an audio interface. The general advice about using the headphone/monitor port is correct. If you wanted physical controls for this mic, I'd suggest using the Korg Nanokontrol2 midi controller with Midi-Mixer and assigning the mic's volume to one of the faders or knobs. Probably the closest thing you'll be able to get to physical controls for mic outside of the knob on the mic itself.

@@CoalitionGaming I am currently running the Rode PodMic through a Vocaster One and I am very happy with it. My girl loves USB mics but you do not get good software unless you buy into a system. So I figured if anyone knew, it would be you.

USB mics are great still. Give any USB a mic an EQ tune with Equalizer APO and bam. Even better. Free and no need to buy into any software or hardware ecosystem.
