The fact that this series has had NO leaks at all is impressive. Compared to other Disney+ projects like the Mandalorian which leaked spoilers constantly. Like, they cast Percy in JANUARY and kept it a secret for THREE MONTHS.

A director who loves the source material, an actor who is a fan of the books, a production staff that is honoring the history behind everything, and having the author not only helping out as an consultant but as a member of the writing staff, it definitely shows that this show will be a massive hit with the fans of the book.

I've always said that a film or TV adaptation of Percy Jackson has the potential to be as big as Harry Potter. I'm so so so happy that we're finally getting to see something in a big and exciting form.

The fact the author himself is excited and even contributing is a good sign. It also looks like the boy they chose will do Percy justice. If this is a love letter series it will get the attention it deserves this time.

This could lead book to film adaptations into a new era. I've always thought that movies couldn't do books justice due to the vast length difference. So giving Percy Jackson a show makes me happy even though I haven't read all the books in forever

I’m over the moon for this series! I can finally get the feeling that the Harry Potter fans did when the movies first came out. (Side note . I love Harry Potter too, but I was a baby when the first movie came out, I didn’t get the same hit as the book fans)

This series is an opportunity to improve some aspects of the books. For example, the other campers. Introducing the campers who later become relevant early on will give us more time to get to know them better, like Beckendorf and Silena, two very important characters in the last two books who previously barely made an appearance.

I'm literally still screaming over this PERFECT casting. I've been obsessed with Walker ever since The Adam Project but I never thought we'd be lucky enough to actually get him as Percy! I hope he saw the massive support for this casting because he deserves all the happiness rn. The pressure must be intense. Edit: I fr thought this was obvious but bruh, I’m obsessed with him as an ACTOR. I feel the same for Ryan Reynolds, Tom Holland, Johnny Depp and many more

Dont forget that while being excited is good, dont expect too much. It might make everybody dissapointed when it isnt as good as it was percieved

I'm honestly not a fan of adaptations, they all promise to show exciting worlds but never live up to the expectations that we've built up from the books. Having said that, this project gives me hope. Having RR there, and a cast and crew full of people that know the source material and genuinely like it, gives me hope that this will do justice to RR's amazing series.

I am literally so excited for this project to hit our screens next year. My hope is that they get through all 5 seasons, then expand into the heroes of Olympus series as well for another 5 seasons. I haven't read trials of Apollo yet (I have them, just haven't gotten around to reading them yet) but I'm sure it's as good as the other 2 series, and hope they produce that series as well.

I finished reading Blood of Olympus 2 days ago and I've started The Red Pyramid today, thank you so much for getting me into this amazing book series, reading these books over the past 2 weeks has been extremely relaxing and enjoyable. All your Percy Jackson videos have been great to binge too in-between books

Truly hope Logan Lerman would play Poseidon. He's still a fitting Percy even if the movies suck but now that he's older, it would be great of he would play Poseidon.

I didn't read the books. and I didn't like those 2 movies. I learned some background lore through Movieflames content. and seeing this makes me happy for the fans and I as well for getting a chance to see this series for what it should be. a boys journey. this looks promising.

Walker Scobell gives me such amazing Percy vibes. This is going to be an amazing series and such a good adaptation to the books we grew up with. Thanks Uncle Rick and everyone else working on the project.

Random side note: Having read the percy jackson books when I was younger better prepared me to understand all the characters in Hades when I played through last year! I'm excited we will get another try with this series. I was always sad that both Percy Jackson and Avatar: the last airbender were treated so badly on the big screen, but at least there seems to be redemption with this tv series for percy!

i actually auditioned for annabeth there is one girl who also auditioned who i really hope gets it she was so good! i literally prayed to every deity i know of hoping they cast her she was amazing she literally looks like annabeth popped out of the book and she was really witty and snarky but also really nice and sweet perfect annabeth in my opinion edit: yes i was referring to dominique pexa but i think leah will be great! younger me would have killed for a WOC actress playing my favourite character

Despite being a bad adaptation, I always liked the first movie. It's what introduced me to Rick Riordan's books and mythology in general, and I saw it all the time when I was a kid.

You're telling me Riordan himself was toured through the place where the mandalorian was filmed and where Kenobi is being filmed for inspiration and learning what he can for the effects and stuff...this is going to be a hell of a show

If this show succeeds, then hopefully we’ll get to see more authors be involved in screen productions as riordan is. Tbh this is probably perfect timing for me. I’m gon graduate soon, but I remember in elementary school I read that series 4 times over the course of elementary school and even more in middle school. I can’t wait till this show comes out. I'm really excited for my son the see this. Reading is hard for him, he has a hard time focusing. But the Percy Jackson series caught him and he finished the series in 3 months. Yes, I'm bragging. Watching him read so voraciously and hearing how excited he talks about what he read that day, was something I didn't think I would get to see him experience. My 11 year old loves to read and it's thanks to Rick and Percy.

I'll be honest. I didn't know of the book series until after I saw the two films. I'll admit that I thought the first one had potential, but even I can say the second one was quite a downer. It was after that I finally heard of the Percy Jackson book series and started reading it. I've been a big fan ever since and I keep reading those books over and over. I love them.

Man I picked a great time to finally start reading this series for the first time!

I am genuinely in tears right now because the percy Jackson and heros of olympas book were my entire childhood. My father deployed a lot when I was young and the only thing that helped me through it was those books. I kid you not I re read each of the searise 14 times each I am obsessed. And to see the movies butcher my childhood dreams of seeing the books come to life hurt me so deeply and as I was watching this imagining how beautiful and detailed this new series is going to be I'm just sobbing!

I feel like this has some amazing potential, when the OG writers get the chance to help with the adaptation you get amazing shows like Invincible and The Boys when soft retcons can be made without outrage but several things can be improved upon because it’s based off the writer’s original idea not just how they were written down, interpreted, the showed. Can’t wait to see this show in action.

I watched the Adam Project after I saw the Percy casting announcement and Walker Scobell really is perfect. I am so so excited for these books to get the screen adaptation they deserve! I couldn't even force myself to watch more than half an hour of the original Percy Jackson movie and don't really remember anything from it. This is definitely going to be worth the wait.

I'm gonna need to reread the books if they are making a new show for this. Thankfully I got a brand new set for Christmas I've been to busy to open

I definitely am excited for this series a piece of my childhood (done right movies you don’t exist to me) the only none books that’s good of this series is “Percy Jackson the Lightning Thief: Musical” they definitely did the first book justice and added songs on top of that! I’m definitely happy Rick finally gets to see his works come to life and not be a failure and with him being directly involved will ensure it’ll go great and with a good writer and director that know the material as well as the lead knowing the material tells me Disney’s got this and I’m not worried and will definitely watch!

I made the mistake of reading the books before I saw the films, so I was severely disappointed by them (though I could tell I would have enjoyed them if I hadn't had expectations built up by the novels).
