Thanks Andy, I hope these sell well for you. On the Nintendo Switch version it would be amazing if you could get them in with the USB-C port pre installed. That way only the anchor points would need soldering without worrying about the hidden row of pins. I presume the supplier wouldn't be able to do that but that would be a winner if they could?

The hidden row of pins I think would be easier to do if you do them with a hole in the pad for the solder to adhere to them.

Really cool and actually haven't seen the episode yet. I've been watching both you and Vince for years now. This particular board will do well but would have sold like crazy about 5 years ago. The others you mention coming down the line should also do well because if given the choice between a couple hours of your time/labor or a little board like this, it's no decision at all. I may grab a few despite not really fixing OG models anymore.

Nice patch, such a great idea. Do the new pins connect to the test points creating a new pad? You could make loads of these for all types of devices. I’ve seen one for the audio ic on iPhone 7 and he sells tonnes of them so I can see these doing really well for you. Brilliant idea. Great video Andrew 👍

I'm here for the repairs. That's what I enjoy. The other stuff is just the gravy on top! Also, first Edited to add: I honestly cannot wait to see the other solutions for other consoles pick up steam. If you can get the Switch patches working I'll be one of the first in line to buy a handful!

Fantastic idea! I’ve yet seen any ripped pads from amateurs trying it themselves. I’ll definitely stick these just in case when it’s available. ❤️

Awesome idea and nicely put into practice and design of an excellent product Andrew. I think these will be a well used item for repairing damaged hdmi headers and very reasonably priced at £5.99 thank you very much for creating such a great time saving product.

Anyone trying to install this amazing patch, I would suggest the following: line up the HDMI pins first, then slide the patch down until the alternative pin 16 lines up. This will give alternative pin 13 also line up. The only one you will need to take care with will be alternative pin 15. I also recommend using a small piece of trace wire for the data lines if you can’t bridge them.

I like the idea, the only thing I'd suggest is a bigger "working area" for the 8 via area, that rectangular slot looks pretty small

This is novel! Great job! Could you do something like this for the front panel connector (the one that connects to the main board) for the Xbox One X. I accidentally ripped out the connector and traces as well. Apparently this is pretty common

Noice one! Looks interesting for sure. Just need some PS5 and Series ones. Hope these are accurate on the solder pads. Had alot of issues with solder flex cables not ligning up to alternate points in the past.

Hi, Yes it's down for the moment as the initial batch has largely sold out (barring I think 5 units) - a new batch is currently on order and should be here at the end of next week (with a twist - something I've been working on for a while). Hi bud, The board itself is very thin so it has no impact on the location of the port inside the HDMI aperture on the rear of the console. No case modifications required and from the outside you'd never know anything else was inside there - that was a big red line I had for the design - I didn't want anyone to have to be scraping and filing away at the case to make anything fit as that would waste time us techies don't really have ha ha! :)
