The Blade now comes with a 1060, which is a huge improvement over the 970M. Also, if you buy it, get the lowest possible storage option, then sell it and buy a much cheaper and better performing M.2 drive on Amazon. Or get a SATA M.2 drive and save a lot of money.

This has nothing to do with this product you reviewed but I feel like this is a good way to ask people to help me with my computer. So I was browsing the internet on my PC a couple hours ago and all of a sudden, it froze. I couldn't do anything so I manually turned off my comp via the button on the case. I left to go out for an hour or two and I came back and turned my comp on and it wouldn't start. It finally did and it blue screened and told me. "Your computer was not shut down properly. Please restart." So i restarted it and the same screen came up. But there was an option for "troubleshooting" and it gave a me a whole bunch of options to "restart" my PC. However, it was for factory settings, so i didn't restart it. I shut it down properly by clicking the shut down option on the blue screen. I don't really know what to do. I've looked some things up, but I probably haven't looked deep enough. I think my hard drive may be corrupt I don't know. But I'd love some help if anyone if willing to. Thanks!

spot on review in some ways (my first major complaint were the non-lit function keys, too).. but after using it for a while i figured that the 1060 model is where razer jumped the shark. i played sniper elite 4 on a plane recently and it got so hot i could barely touch it at all. while the 2015 model was loud when gaming but quiet when idling the 3000 $ 2016 model has its fan running at minimum 45% all the time. also mine tended to just shut randomly down (although that might be a windows problem). all in all: this is not a macbook replacement. sorry.

linus can stop wiping razer's ass, as a blade user we all know it has serious overheating problem, their fan is too thin and spin on a low rpm causing cpu over 99 degree celsius when playing games like battlefield 4. not so demanding game like overwatch will stay around 90 degree celsius when gaming. those temperature are with cooler master x3 cooling pad. if i remove the cooling pad the laptop will shutdown immediately due to serious overheating. on razer forum a lot of user has the same overheating problem, and yet razer dare to warn us not to modify or change anything in the laptop or else warranty will be void. they claimed that they are using "high grade" components with expert engineering but that is just bullshit, i replaced the thermal paste myself with the coolermaster x1 thermal paste, turns out it has slightly better cooling. i dont understand why many people like to praise razer, it's like beats in headphone category. good looking and brilliant marketing, but overpriced with crappy performance/ durability.

I'm looking to get a new ultrabook for school. I would love it if you could make a review on the newest iteration of the Razer Blade Stealth. I'm not interested in Macbooks and and the Toshiba Satellite I have now is really loud with the fans sometimes and the updates are painfully long and put me at a disadvantage when it decides to update in class.

Imagine the 2017 razer blade having the Blackwidow Chroma (TE size) with a Razer mouse and pad of your choice. E.g. Deathadder Chroma w/ Razer Firefly & a Razer Compact Foldable Portable Chroma Chair that can turn into a desk. All in one box.
