This video is beautifully technical. But, to be honest, I've watched it 4 times over the last few weeks while I learn more about suspension. It finally makes some sense after weeks of research on the jargon.

Just picked up a trek top fuel with this type of shock think I understand what you mean by damping in plus or minus set up position. Would appreciate a little bit more definition of the term damping. Did you find the rebound control to be a little difficult to turn in such a tight position.

I did come over from an x-fusion but on my Marin hawk hill it feels absolutely amazing...first ride impression fyi

Just bought a new bike and can’t understand which shock I have. Bike specification says Deluxe Ultimate RLR, but I can’t have a Lockout. By the serial number it seems to be a Threshold shock but I can’t be sure. Can you help?

so - 1st ride, Giant Reign, with Super deluxe ultimate 2021 shock - wow cant find the words. i am riding enduro mainly and my old shock was Deluxe+. Even after installing MegNeg on Deluxe+ the rear was dead, traction was non existent and wheel bounced like crazy - i tried to combat it will lower tire pressure but that was not helpful. After research i went for 2021 and installed MegNeg. I felt slow as the rear end was on the trail and instead of skidding (ever breaking w my old shock) i could just modulate the speed - rear perfectly planted, also same for peddling uphill - tons of traction. I have also upgraded my Yari to Charger 2.1 - bike feels like a new steed and just safer overall.

What is the website to enter my shock absorber serial number and know the reference of the 200-hour kit? thanks

The Rockshox documentation for this shock is terrible. THANK YOU Chris Mandell for a clear explanation of the various adjustments on this shock! I just swapped out my SID Luxe Ultimate with the Deluxe Ultimate and I'm looking forward to riding with it.

Can this be mounted upside down? My mount on my bike would have it with letters upside down. Would it affect the shock causing leakes?

Why do so many bikes come with Fox in the rear? It seems like no manufacturers like Rockshox. Is Fox just that much better at rear shocks?

Sorry a bit off topic, but I'm looking high and low for what that lever does on my Rockshox Deluxe Select Plus shock. If it is meant to be a compression adjuster, or if it is just meant to be either up or down (lock-out/not locked lever). Thanks!

Can the Rockshox Deluxe Ultimate be used on an E-Bike? I ask because the Rockshox website says, regarding the Ultimate model: "A perfect match for the current crop of ultra-lightweight and capable dream bikes". My E-Bike weighs 52 lbs - so not "ultra-lightweght". In other words, is the Rockshox Deluxe Ultimate only for ultra-lightweight bikes?
