Күн бұрынI am opening a 1st/First Off The Line (FOTL) hobby box of 2023 Panini Donruss Elite NFL Football for our next collectible sports trading card pack unboxing/product review! Hobby boxes have an SRP of $150 but resell in the $300 range (FOTL boxes resell in the mid $400 range). Every box contains 20 5-card packs (12 box cases). Expect 2 autographs, 1 memorabilia jersey relic card, 11 inserts, 6 parallels, and 3 rookies per box. FOTL boxes contain an exclusive Black Gold Ink Pen Pals or TOTC auto and an exclusive Pink /11 or Platinum /3 parallel. This product comes with chances at pulling the first base cards of the new rookies in their NFL jerseys, on-card Pen Pals autos of the top 2023 rookies in their pro uniforms (plus variations and SP ink parallels), case-hit Spellbound inserts (MVP, Lombardi, Goat), 1/1 Elite parallels, multi-signed cards (Passing the Torch), SSP parallels (Razzle Dazzle, Gold, Black), prime/super prime mem cards, autos of the NFL's top rookies/superstars/HOFers, rookies of Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, & Bijan Robinson, and more! You can get these boxes for yourself from your local sports card hobby shops and online retailers/sellers. Overall, I would rate this product a 6.25/10 (hobby and FOTL). Weird how Leaf uses a lot of game worn for their unlicensed cards especially the vets. Yet Panini just uses a random jersey they probably bought directly from Nike and have stocked in their warehouse. Watch Topps/Fanatics use game used jersey. Also it's downright criminal for Panini the charge anywhere close to $400 4 box that won't have autographs of most of the top quarterbacks. Can't blame the NFLPA for pulling their contract with Panini.

One thing I like about this set is there are no borders for majority of the cards. If you compare it to prizm and the amount of border those cards have its a breath of fresh air. I feel like it’s not talked about enough but when it comes to prizm especially the design is getting more and more border. So much border that it makes the actual picture of the player so small. Compare the 2022 prizm border to older ones and you’d clearly notice. If you took the size of the base photos used for this set and put it in a prizm card it would be a win.

The prices for sealed NFL wax makes absolutely 0 sense considering the top 2 picks don’t have autos in them. Imagine 2020 products without Burrow/Herbert lol 😅

This product has always been good to me first year I opened it I pulled a Sumaje Perine and last year most recently I pulled a Skyler Thompson I'm hoping if Tua gets hurt Skyler Thompson can take over with Tua on the bench cause with what Skylar did last season in playoffs he showed he can play in big leagues

Sports cards have so many rarities it becomes a bit of a turn off when trying to collect. Stuff like Pokemon / YGO or anythign else for that matter tend to have 6 rarities while sports cards have around 80+. I even see sometimes people pull a 1/3 or 1/1 with sports cards and people get disappointed because its not super signed ultra mega shard purple hyper foil... and its like WHAT!? For me any signature is kind of epic because its a literal part of history

These blasters have been great for me I'm way up. Over 10+ and got razzle dazzle, bunch of numbered cards, stroud discos and the inserts are more valuable than optic and prizm

Looking at the upcoming regular Donruss, they no longer have licenses for so only select players Panini signed will have the logos... even base Aaron Rogers cards with logos on the Jets should hold value, I would think...

Saddest thing is Panini is not angry about the existence of a sole company controlling licensing agreements for leagues and players associations; they are only angry because it is someone else who controls them. The basketball collecting landscape was hurt immeasurably when Panini took over as the sole license (my opinion) around 15 years ago (15 years with no autos of MJ or LeBron with NBA uniforms, ugh) It’s not that Panini products have all been bad, but innovation and quality are spurred by competition. It sucks we won’t be getting licensed products from multiple companies but it’s not possible for me to feel sorry for Panini.
