Go to settings than tap on software information and tap 7 to 10 times in build number and turn on developer mode, back to settings scroll all to the bottom than and 3/4 way down turn on force dark mode on all apps and you get more color keyboards, but make sure high contrast keyboard setting is on first ..

Does someone know how to move the drop-down arrow key that hides/minimises the keyboard to the left where the voice input icon is? I had it set up previously before the update.

I concur. I hope Samsung reconsiders the placement of the microphone button and returns it to its previous location on the right-hand side of the device.

Is there a way you can specify if it only applies to Samsung s24? I have a Samsung fold 3 and it doesn't show any of that except for the microphone. Thank you

Happy to hear not being able to change microphone icon to different location is an issue for all. I'm having an issue with scheduling messages. It never sends. I have factory reset phone, un-installed messenger and still doesn't work! Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank ya all

1:09 from my testing from when they changed it. Voice input doesn't work on samsung voice. So I have it on Google as for now.

Samsung keyboard input literally track your input and shared it with other SDK which cause data security problems, which is why you get recommend certain ads immediately after you searching. BEFORE you GET ANGRY, remember you ticked and agreed the terms & conditions which says allow sharing of your input data.

Thanks for the video. I noticed when they took the microphone off of the keyboard, and put it at the lower left corner, voice to text is way different. It no longer puts in punctuation if you dictate it - it spells out the words instead. And it often puts a capital letter right in the middle of the sentence. So annoying! Also, on my Samsung Galaxy S24, the "Google Voice Typing" option is greyed out.

Not sure if i am behind on updates or going right along but i received that keyboard/mic update on the 6th of april and today i check and i see i have another update haven't done the update yet that is why i came here to see what was the update about but i see you are a bit behind on the updates

He's using the Samsung keyboard with Google Messages, so if you turn on AI in options under 6.1 and give it all the permissions, you'll see the magic stars on the keyboard in any app. But if you switch to Google Messages as the default messaging app and start typing, you'll see the magic pen show up there.

when i long press on the keyboard icon at 1:04 in your video, i do not see the 'change keyboard button - invoice input/input method' ?? any idea why ?? i have the S24 ultra

Try long pressing the mic icon. If that doesn't work, go into the phone settings, General Management, Keyboard list and default, then turn on "Keyboard button on navigation bar," if it's not on. If it is on, the long press should work.

I lost my microphone icon in the lower left. I followed the instructions you showed and everything matches but there's no icon in the keyboard when I open it. I do have an icon with !#1. When I click on it it changes to ABC. There is another icon with a globe looking icon. When I click on it nothing happens that I can see . I just can't get the microphone back. What do I do?

Every year, Samsung does lots of changes in his keyboard, but they never give direct buttons for redo and undo options. Can you give the option for it.

So according to Samsung this is how the keyboard is supposed to work but when I press the microphone the keyboard disappears unlike their description: "Voice input without leaving the keyboard The keyboard now remains visible while using voice input so you can easily switch back to typing whenever you need to. Tap the mic button at the bottom of the screen to enter text using your voice at any time while using the keyboard." But the keyword does leave. Anybody has the answer for this thank you

Yes, putting the microphone back to the tool bar would be awesome. 8 of 10 times I am typing. I hit it by accident it's very annoying .

The mic placement moved the keyboard up, which, for me, has caused me to mistype more often than I care to admit. It also makes the keyboard take up more of the screen. It's annoying and ridiculous! Make this placement an option in the toolbar or at the bottom of the keyboard.

The only reason am I using the Samsung keyboard is the styles, for example using Google keyboard the mic is in the tool box which is so useful and now am forced to not use it because i am using Samsung's keyboard I wish they'd let us customize that

Stupid keyboard control update. The switch keyboard button used to be on the right side, which makes more sense for one hand operation since most people are right-handed. They could have simply added the option to switch the button to any side to suit the user's preferences.

From what I noticed, they took away several useful keyboard buttons in the new 6.1 update. Things like the search and the grammarly buttons I used almost every day. The new voice input area hurts my hand to try and activate. It needs to be moved back where it used to be. I don't even have any of the new AI functionalities, so it feels like a total downgrade. I'm not impressed with this update.

I like how they integrate the AI features into the new keyboard but I hate that they remove the Universal Search from the keyboard. What a waste.

In my experience, Magic Compose works significantly worse than Live composure, oftentimes turning the context to something completely different and making whatbi say rather nonsensical.

Samsung keyboard is trash. It doesn't auto-capitalise after a new sentence. SwiftKey keyboard is much better.
