We called in the big guns for some professional skatepark building progress. And it paid off so well! Thanks to Monolith for putting a couple of solid days into my DIY backyard skatepark build. We've already been riding the first spine and ramp section on mountain bike and BMX but now the new extension will absolutely transform this barn in a skatepark with multiple lines, transfers, options and potential for tricks on all our bikes. The build lapses are sick and watching this project come together has been amazing. In the next video we'll ply the new ramps and finally ride the entire park!
Enjoy,
Legends

All of us with knowledge knowhow about framing and carpentry. Can now breathe a sigh of relief... Watching Matt, Ben, and Jamie fuddle their way through this build has been extremely entertaining. But at the same time, face palming with all the wrong ways to build something. Don't change a thing, boys. You'll loads of solid entertainment.

Progress is looking sick. You should continue the ply-ground build outside the barn and build a transition from inside to outside where you can still close the tarp across when needed.
@ChayseGrizzell
@ChayseGrizzell Жыл бұрын
Wow. Did not see that coming. I figured you would lean toward creating more of a bowl around the back wall with some sort of box that you can transition back into the spox from any direction. Get rid of the roller and have more room for the bowl and box

Excellent extension/progression to what you already built Matt, can't wait to see it finished and you guys riding it. As to the "storage area" under the step up, that's an easy one, just keep the BMXs under there and/or spare/loaner BMXs or DJ bikes for if someone comes over without one.

Maybe pull the half pipe closer to the edge and you could come out the half pipe in the step up vertwall and also I’d do 2 sheets of ply high on the back wall in case you hit it you don’t go thru it and it’d be alittle safer and easier on hands if you crash into it

you should put a couple fans underneath the whole park, so you get some air flow couple cheap fans just to keep the air-flow and with u guys rainy weather and wet all the time and the ground creates moisture. keep that air flowing will keep it that much drier.

Don't know if you've mentioned it all ready but that wall your building towards I would build something around those steels cos they are bone breakers. I would build either a wall covering the whole wall which would allow wall rides/footplants etc, also could build a little perch for ben to film from for a sick over the top shot. Or a cheap option would be to build some boxing around them but do it curved and put thin plywood which will bend easily. This would soften the blow alot and you'd most likely bounce off it ok.

Hey Matt Ben and the gang excellent job on the video. Here's a suggestion for the space under the platform you can make it a disco dance hall for Ben. Just kidding Ben. Seriously though, how about getting a crane and raising the roof of the barn to accommodate multi-levels of ply madness. I know what you're thinking is this guy crazy do you know how much money that would cost? Well, still something to think about opens up options maybe you can cut holes in the walls and make smaller buildings off to the side? Maybe you can cut holes in the walls and make an outdoor non-covered bike extravaganza so person could ride in and out. You just got to think outside the box there fella. I really appreciate your videos your camaraderie you're hilarity and all jokes aside I value what you do and now you treat people. It is you who is the legend. Peace

I look forward to seeing how everything works together.
