@@boxtoprock8020 The Spain Spanish dub is way better than the LatAm Spanish 'cause they actually understand the tone of the series and do a great job at adapting jokes. But eh, the local dubbing industry has sucked ass for years now since some Mexican family has been destroying it at trying to monopolize it.

Given you brought up one theory from Reddit I’m surprised you didn’t talk about the two Allans theory. The subtitles switch back and forth between the spellings of Allan and Alan, in episode 2-3 Alan seems confused to wake up next the the woman, and later on in the season has no memory of sucking on Charlie’s nose, despite clearly doing so. Some people have suggested he may have a split personality or there may be two Alans running around.

I think Charlie's girlfriend actually died by a horrific bulldozer accident, and that's why he was slightly more depressed and was drinking more. BUT after the spamtopia episode (where we see the magical red jewel) he's a little better. I mean, it was an EPIC adventure that they went on that day, but also maybe... just maybe, he used the red jewel to revive his betrothed. Then we see her in the last episode and god bless this country and i love my god and my friends and alan made the rocket boots and...

I've never seen this mentioned, after Charlie and Pim blow up the planet in Charlie Pim and Bill vs the Alien, when Charlie is freaking out one of the alien's lines is heard "The last guy shoved a CD holder up his ass." This is a reference to how Cory spazkid explains how he found out he wasn't in to butt stuff in an episode of Sleepycabin, cohosted by Zach.

Honestly Smiling Friends go to Brazil has to be one of the best bait and switch gags in comedy. Which is boosted by the reality that it didnt actually get finished or get to air by April 1st. So its even better as a gag because everyone expected them to get into crazy brazillian shenanigans and they just get stuck in a fuckin airport lol

Zach once said "If a character in the show gets hit on the head with a hammer, they're gonna have a seizure or something." to emphasize that the world in which the show takes place isn't all just cartoony and fake, the people in it have real lives and are really affected by the things around them. For instance, when Charlie gets his nose torn off he freaks out and calls 911 because he was literally heavily injured as if his nose ACTUALLY was torn off. Normally with animated shows I don't take these "attention to detail" type facts seriously, since with a lot of them its just simply a cartoon. That isn't really the case with Smiling Friends, which I like.

Surprised that the "Mr Boss is a war veteran" theory isn't on here. Maybe it's not that deep, but here's the supporting clues that make me believe it: - He's nice most of the time but he's extremely volatile and can go off with no warning (likely PTSD) - He owns and is experienced with several different types of firearms - He dresses up for election day, showing he's very patriotic There's probably more, but that's what I remember off the top of my head.

Unfortunately, Zach and Michael don't voice Charlie and Pim in the Spanish dubs of Smiling Friends, instead having Professor Psychotic saying "I have really good hearing" in the western Spanish dub and "You just changed your accents" in the European Spanish dub.

There’s also a chance Glep is not speaking English and it’s more like Oscar in Spamtopia. They’re both heard speaking a language most people can’t understand, but when the writers choose to, they’ll translate directly to the audience. In ‘Red Jewel’, it’s because it’s established Pim can understand the language being spoken, so it eventually becomes easier for Oscar and Pims’ interactions to be displayed to the viewers more clearly and with Glep, it’s because it’s narration to the audience, but also because he’s speaking to his grandson who can understand him.

Mr. Boss being a genuinely great boss to his employees (minus Tyler) is something I wish more shows did. He's super lax on his uniform code, just requiring the two public facing employees to wear SOMETHING but nothing specific beyond that (Pim goes business casual, Charlie wears a plain hoodie), and even allows employees to hang out and play video games at work until they're needed.

I got all 4 AngelinaLily Smiling Friends plushes for my birthday a couple weeks ago and I can confirm they basically feel official from material to construction. The one inaccurate thing is that Pim has a little nose, but honestly that kinda feels like something they'd add to an official plush and gaslight people about it on Twitter or something, so I absolutely am not complaining.

36:41 I was really excited when the guys started speaking spanish (its my first language), but unfortunately they don't speak english in any of the hispanic versions. In the latino dub they changed the voice actors and made them lower their voices so the professor can't hear them and in the spain version they kept the original audio so the joke was the professor saying 'i still can understand you, you just changed your accent'. the hispanic fandom was really disappointed lol but anyways great video!! I'm glad it appeared on my feed :)

I wanna add to the philadelphia bit here. Crimeville is actually Kensington in philadelphia. For anyone who doesn't know, Kensington is a mix of Racoon city during the outbreak and any fallout map. I've almost got robber there but chased a mf away w a box cutter. Kensington is also not far from Glenside so I'm guessing they had to cut through numerous times to get there. Hope there's a wawa reference in season 3

I kinda thought the delivery guy was a reference to the gas station attendant in Bushworld adventures, they sound exactly the same, have the same kind of annoying persistance and it make sense that he works in hell since Rick shot him in the head and killed him
