I completed the game as Luigi cuz I always liked His color, I didnt AND still dont know if they aré different cuz I never played with Mario (I was playing on my brothers ds and he told me how to get Luigi, so I always used the command to play as Luigi)

I remember when this was first coming out. It was announced all over Nintendo Power and had so many different articles going through the history of Mario and describing NSMB’s gameplay. So many high quality pictures too; we couldn’t wait. The graphics were SUCH a huge step up from the original SMB. Can’t believe how pixelated it looks now.

It still was new though. NSMBU had new backgrounds, new music, a different final boss, an interconnected map, Peach's Castle as the final world, Nabbit, etc.

As derivative as this game is in every other department, I'm surprised at the amount of effort that went into the music. Koji Kondo and his co-composers didn't just remake old tracks and called it a day. They gave this game and series its own identity by giving it a sound you don't hear anywhere else.

This game was such a huge part of my childhood as it was my very first (as well as Lego Indiana Jones and Pokémon Platinum) DS game when I got it on Christmas. The vs mode and mini games were especially something fun that most Nintendo games don’t have anymore

Sweet! I began playing it once again on DSi at school to kill time. Especially since I recently found out that there's a special mode when you press 'LRLRXXYY' in your menu screen. Can't believe I just barely knew about this even after having the game for years!!
