I appreciate your videos, but your inflection always goes up at the end of a sentence, when it should go down. It is very annoying. The only sentences that go up at the end are questions, and even many of them go up one syllable before the ending syllable, then down for the last one.

We loved the public transportation in Israel.. it is so affordable and very comfortable. We went for Passover (camped at peace forest) this year. Took the train from Ben G. to Jerusalem. After that, we took the bus up to Tiberias. Then, from there, Haifa (Dado Beach) and then finally back to Ben G. at the end of our visit. I thought it was a great way to see the countryside. I can't wait to go back. Next time, I will download your tours at least. The ramport tour looks very interesting

Thanks for all the great information. I just returned from Israel and used all your many videos and your tours to enrich my experience. Love the country. Amazing what people have accomplished since 1948. Stayed at Abraham in both cities and was able to manage the bus and city train. Yes, every cab ripped me off. Loved all the wonderful museums. So well done with great free tours.sometimes I was the only interested person and a volunteer showed me around for an hour. Amazing art and architecture. Keep up the great videos about history, politics and other current affairs. You are the best.

I hope to visit next for Chanukah 2024 when I will be able to enjoy this festival of light with a backdrop of another festival observed by others on 25 December. I am yet to decide where to stay, I have a friend who made aliya a few years ago and now lives in Jerusalem and I want to visit, but will stay in a hotel or self-catering establishment.

Israel should get saturday trains. In Australia, sunday is our rest day and we still run trains (at a reduced frequency though). Sometimes we do trackwork on those days but we will often substitue that train service with a Rail replacement Bus service which will bascially use the local roads to make stops outside the main entrance of the train stations. We also sometime operate some of those bus services during peak hour to help support and supplement the main rail line during weekday peak. Example: If you need to get into town in a rush, then you take the train but if you are not in a hurry than you can instead take the slower but cheaper bus service and allow someone else who is say in a rush to get to work or something to get a seat on that train

I plan to return to Israel for a wedding in March. I look forward to the new line. Israel Railways is the best -- only it does not go to Tiberias or Eilat. Also, the Jerusalem rail station is just poorly planned. Other than that, it is fast and inexpensive. I recommend the taxi to go from the rail station to your hotel -- unless you really like schlepping luggage onto a bus. But you should let people know that Israeli taxis are cash only. I look forward to using the Tel Aviv light rail. How about a video on Akko? I would like to visit there on my next trip. It is one of the few places I haven't been to.

1. Order a ride and pay for it with smartphone apps. 2. I have paid taxi drivers with credit cards. 3. Taxi drivers have to operate the meter by law (FYI the revenue for the driver is higher on the beginning of the ride, longer ride is good for the driver only if there's no new ride waiting for him). 4. Taxi drivers have to issue a receipt at the end of the drive. 5. A visible sticker with driver's photo and personal details is normally glued to the beam in between the front and back doors, take a photo at start of drive, then if you've dropped/forgot something in the cab you'll be able to call the driver. 6. Some drivers will surely try to scam you. Scamming tourists is a common global trait of many taxi drivers, but the above makes scamming you harder.

@@ef2718 I have yet to see an Israeli taxi equipped with a credit card reader. Odd for the so-called "start-up country." As for using apps, I don't get along well with technology. But that's just me. I am aware of the taxi scams. Unfortunately, if after a hard day of touring, I sometimes don't give a damn just as long as I get back to my hotel in time to rest up for dinner. As long as the scam is not too outrageous, I tolerate them. After all, I don't travel to Israel to save money. But never catch a taxi in Jerusalem at the Dung Gate. Most the drivers there are Arab, and they will take you for all you're worth.
