Yeah, all what you said. And we have to stop celebrating people just because they are the first black to do something if all they continue to do is push a false narrative, reinforce stereotypes, and put out crappy movies. It's like he thinks little of his people to give them a well-developed project, his movies are simple-minded like he is, and just because he has accumulated a billion dollars, it's how. He should be held to the same standard people hold other billionaires, Musk, Gates, Jobs. At some point they were accused of selling out, "every billionaire is evil", but we give Tyler a pass? no. He's doing the same thing. Just rinse and repeat because he knows we are going to support because he "the first black guy"

It’s because he still uses some of our favorite people in his movies and we want to see/support them. Then we go and leave like 🙄 🙄 🙄 over and over again. 😂😂

I loved that movie. I thought the hair, wardrobe and makeup were his best to date. And Kelly.. Oh my such a great actress. I do agree that the script could have been written better

Lol i had to comment bc soon as my husband saw a couple seconds of the trailer (i showed it to him)... he said, "Trash 🗑️" Lol Hes not a Tyler Perry fan bc he said Tyler Perry's movies and shows never uplift black ppl or the black family. Hate to say it but i agree at this point. He seems far away from his stage play days when you could see dedication and encouragement in his projects. And this is no hate no shade.

Jazzman’s Blues was the only Tyler Perry movie of this decade that I actually enjoyed….still ended in tragedy but it was a good change of pace

@@emm757250 shades was bad too😂😂😂 Especially parts 2 and 3. The first one was the better of them however its still a bad movie. It is still written, directed, acted, styled and produced better than Mea Culpa. Mea Culpa was TP’s 10th same movie. Like damn near scene for scene with the knife fight in the kitchen. 50 shades was a billionaire romance from a hit novel. There arent too many “billionaire romance” stories hitting the theaters. Not to mention 50 shades stems from a fanfiction of Harry Potter but u cant even tell😂😂😂😂😂 So i definitely give it props for that. I would even say Twilight (another Harry Potter fan fiction) was better than anything by TP😂😂😂😂😂

I think what he is saying is that when you see the trailer you already know, it's the same movie with different characters . The same trauma and abuse of black females. Even when I saw the trailer of Divorce in Black, I said ok, another black woman running from a black man who is beating her we are more than this and deserve better. It's time we stopped supporting this. And also the people who have this really going on in their lives dont want to see it in a movie they will never watch a Tyler Perry movie.

1] he needs to do a few real action-drama stuff like what Wesley Snipes was doing . 2] he is not doing enough NC-17 movies . he seems to be afraid to give the audience full frontal from his actors 3] with all that i just say , i do like his movies , these kinda stories are his angle , he just needs to improve those areas i just list
