Great walk through and I love the top down view you had the one camera at. The amount of control you have over split size and minimal waste with this machine is just awesome.

Thanks for the video! I want one of these so bad but not certain I could build a business around it…still, I keep watching the videos and tell myself it would be cheaper than buying a sailboat and I would probably use it more than a boat!

Great to see the 17VS in action. Saw it at the Paul Bunyan show with Chris on the controls, looks like you have it nearly figured out, just takes time and practice to get more comfortable with it and learn its quirks. Excited to see more runtime. I also have a 35 SHO BW and starting to look for an option to break down splits into even more custom sizes. Have a great day Around the Yard!

I’m in the market, and was sold on the Eastonmade Axis until I watched your video. Your splitter is a finished product with all of the bugs worked out. The previous test videos and videos from the Paul Bunyan showed a splitter with a slower cycle time. My mind has been persuaded to this Wolf Ridge. Swiveling hydraulic lift conveyor, plus all controls on the work side is a big plus. I will definitely be getting my spot in line.

One thing to make using any vertical splitter easier and safer is to ensure all the firewood rounds are cut square on both ends. This will prevent the round from kicking out on you.

I haven’t had the vertical splitter long enough to see what it can do. But I would say the HO or the SHO. I had the pro and loved it but the 2 jacks and folding hitch on my sho makes things faster and Easier to move around.

@@lillysfarmfirewood yes it’s the way to go, I seen those bobcat splitters 7 or 8 years ago and thought it would be better on a mini, just sit and spin, your not in the skid slapping your head back and forth making yourself throw up!…plus you can chuck the chunks up into a 10’ tall pile then set up your new splitter and not have to move it…check them out, plenty of guy’s have videos on them.
