I was waiting for this! You saw Emily Bear killing it on the piano... and I feel like I should inform you: she's a freaking prodigy! She played the piano on Ellen a bunch of times (starting at age 6), she was mentored by Quincy Jones and she is the youngest (and one of the few female) movie soundtrack composers in the biz! She's a freaking rockstar. -- she talks about all this on a tiktok!

The line “what a beautiful party” sounds a lot like “what a beautiful wedding” from Panic! At The Disco’s I Write Sins Not Tragedy’s with the last note being different. Do you think that was a purposeful nod?

WE NEED THE DAMN ALBUM! There was an interview where they said that Netflix reached out to the girls and expressed interest about the Bridgerton Musical, so there may be amazing things to come in the future!

If this ever gets produced I'd love to see Denée Benton as Daphne, her voice is perfect for the role, and it would be great representation to see a dark skinned woman playing the super feminine and delicate ingenue for a change, the kind of representation that the show sadly lacks

@@MiniNymph a casting call for the second season leaked, which revealed that they're looking for South Asian actresses to fill the roles of Kate and her sister. The first season severely lacked (South) Asian representation (which is crazy since there actually were a lot of South Asians in Brittain at that time). So we're likely to see a South Asian female lead next season, which is super exciting! But it would be cool if they went for darker skinned South Asian women. We don't see enough of those in media.

I am a proper Period Drama 🎭 Stan. So Amy, when you were like “Period dramas aren’t really my vibe”. I was like “Say what” 😱😂 Love Bridgerton obviously, & I love musicals. So for me when I heard there was a Bridgerton musical, & watched the clips here on KZfaq (I don’t have TikTok) I felt this is so extra. It reaches new heights.

Netflix, Julia Quinn (the author of the books) and the cast of the show have all been publicly supportive of the musical (Abigail revealed that loads of the show's cast watch her Instagram stories lol) so Netflix is definitely not gonna try and stop this from happening. They even contacted them. So if anything, I think they might even offer Abigail and Emily help to put something together and release it on Netflix.

The official Instagram of bridgerton & Julia Quinn (the book author) have both acknowledged the musical, and Abigail has said they’ve been in touch, so I can see them partnering with her as opposed to trying to make it stop!

I love it so much!! Esp. all the ppl singing the parts they're dying to play. Just pure joy of performance!!! I was so happy you chose that Duke video he is incredible! I really hope it's gonna get a concept album soon and maybe other unproduced original works can get some traction off their success. Maybe it's the next viable option for musicals that aren't gonna get performed irl anytime soon. OMG DO I EVER AGREE THAT IT'S BETTER THAN THE SHOW (and even as a period fan the whole married titles/power imbalance is big yikes)

I'm so obsessed with this musical. They go live every day (around 6.30pm in the UK) and write/compose the songs in real time and I've been watching those. Also, if you go to barlowandbear.com they've put up some of the finished songs! I can see this going to Hamilton level 100%. Emily was a child prodigy and was playing songs at 2 years old (she's been on Ellen). I think by the age of 8 she wrote something like 350 songs for piano. Big things for Bridgerton the Musical indeed.

I mean most of the inaccuracies ( other than the corset=torture device propaganda) were on purpose. And deliberate. So that's better than the accidental or sloppy inaccuracies IMO.

I loved all of Bridgerton minus one specific scene... Well maybe a few scenes, but the rest of it was great. I love period dramas, and the modern twists were really nice. And then these two made a TikTok Musical that is perfection mixing in one of my other favorite things... And I am obsessed.

This is gonna sound super critical, but I feel like they're trying way to hard to be the next Ratatouille and it just won't work. Ratatouille was already a very popular film that had been around for quite a while and (like most Disney movies) has a very timeless quality. Bridgeton feels like it's just having a bit of a moment in the sun due to a lot of people talking about it on social media. After the social media attention dies down, I can't see it continuing to be so popular so the musical won't really become big. This is just my opinion...please don't come at me!

Honestly I’m not the biggest fan of the show, but I can understand why people like it. Also I’m a little annoyed with the amount of things that are becoming musicals, I liked the ratatouille musical cause it weirdly made sense but all theses other ones just don’t to me, though I can recognize the amount of insane talent that is involved in these remakes. But that’s just my opinion
