the best thing Phantom Pain brought to the MG Series are the controls , i bought the Master Collection but i rusted so hard with the old controlls . the whole muscle memory is gone , even after hours of playing . thats what all new MG Games needs , Phantom Pain controls

Yeah, the MSX games should have a remake because it would help newcomers tell the story of the earlier days of Solid Snake before MGS1.

They're less relevant than MGS1, remaking MGS1 would bring a ton of OG fans back as it's infinitely more popular and ICONIC for Metal Gear

I honestly feel like you play as solid snake the LEAST in the series. remaking those two games is the way to go just make both of them one big game with updated graphics mechanics and gameplay & MORE Solid Snake!

I agree Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake are games most people don't know the lore in. Plus, seeing a young Soild Snake (before MGS1/Twin Snakes) and Grey Fox when his was Big Boss's most trusted lieutenant in Foxhound would be awesome. Perfect games to remake and follow after the events of MGS V: TPP. Another point, I might be wrong. I remember Kojima wanted to do a prequel to MGS3 where you play as the Boss herself alongside the Cobra Unit during their heyday of World War II.

@@user-du3tt9xw7f I would go for a MGS1 remake like they are doing with MGS3 right now. However, in terms of priority MG & MG2 are long overdue for a remake. Lastly, MGS1 technically already had a remake, "The Twin Snakes".

I think MG1’s story can be a soft reboot story and have MG2’s story be reimagined. MG2’s story concept sounds a bit similar in some way, if I remember. Frank Jaeger should be a playable character in prologue of MG1 and MG2. I think MG1 and MG2 should be two stories in one.

Remake them entirely. There are a lot of similiaries between them and Metal Gear Solid 1. So they can remake MG1 and MG2... and we won't mind it being entirely different from the original, whereas MGS123 had great acting and dialogue already, we don't want too much changes. So MG1 can definitely be done.

@@EthanCruise Im not so sure if there gameplay is similar, mgs1 is overhead but there is much more problems trying to translate that over. Also mgs 1 gameplay is dated even if its enjoyable so they will have to try to do mgs1 if they want to do the grandious sucleant msx games.

i agree. metal gears 1 and 2 are the biggest events in the series, but almost no-one plays them because they're so old and not as smooth as current games. I'd actually prefer remakes of those before a new game just so people (and I) can experience them with story edits to make them fit into the story better.

They should definitely remake Mgs 1 and 2. I'd rather them do that then do another Mg zombies game. To those of you who think Konami shouldn't touch Mgs without Kojima, I get what you're saying but realistically that isn't going to happen. Konami is a business and they aren't just going to sit on an I.p like Mgs without trying to profit from it so atleast they can choose to do that wisely

That would be the only way this would ever happen. There is no way in hell Konami would fully remake these games in 3D with modern controls. The best possible outcome is that they would do a 2D version with HD sprites and updated controls closer to Ghost Babel and scrolling backgrounds for the stages.

@MetalGearExplained - I absolutely agree with you that the 8-bit games deserve to get a full blown remake WAY more than any Solid series entry. I also hope that if they do remake it, they let David voice Solid Snake.

MG and MG2 would be best to remake. Like everyone said give it the Phantom Pain controls and engine. Also with David Hayter and some of the remaining cast to reprise their roles. Hell even have Cam Clark voice Master Miller as well. All in all would love to see a Younger Solid Snake in action.

They NEED to do a full on updated Metal Gear 1 and 2 from the MSX era. It's the last thing to help complete the series in full. They are a HUGE part of Solid Snakes beginnings. MG 87 and MG2: Solid Snake need to be redone in modern day graphics, control and redo and tweak the story a little to make it gel with the MGS part of the series. Konami has all those cards in their hands to make this happen.....time to get busy Konami. Giddy-Up!!

I posted on another video… but I think they should remake both metal gear and metal gear 2 as combined game, have it as metal gear 1 as a sort of prologue bit like ground zeros but longer, linear and more flushed out story… then second part of the game is metal gear 2 and have it like phantom pain open world but with more lot denser environment’s, maybe one massive base. I think they are committed to the PP game mechanics which is a good thing, so if they choose to do it the way I’ve suggested they can flush out the story a lot more and be a lot of content using both 1 and 2.

I actually would prefer to see a remake of both Metal Gear 1 and 2 rather than any other MGS entry. Mostly because its the origin of Solid Snake and because its the showdown between Snake and Big Boss, something I've wanted to see since a long time ago. Also, let's not forget that it would mean that we would see Venom Snake once again. Keep in mind that Konami cancelled a very promising Metal Gear 1 remake some years ago, a lot of professional people were involved with it, includin David Hayter and Paul Eiding, so it must, at least, mean that they know about the interest that the fans have for a remake of the originals.

MGS4 remake needs to happen and have more single player experience. And a Metal gear rising sequel and have the plot be similar to The Godfather part 2 where it was part prequel part sequel. Use the Metal Gear Solid Rising interquel story that takes place between MGS2 and MgS4 and see how Raiden rescued Sunny from the patriots and how he became a cyborg ninja. Also show flashbacks of when he was a child soldier and when Raiden was his godfather. And the MAX2 remakes need to be remade and be two stories in one and have Frank Jaeger be playable in prologues.

I think if they remake MG1 and MG2 Solid Snake they should make them separate games They should take the little story MG1 has and add new stuff to make the story more better image if they remake these games and they could go in more detail with Black Ninja, they could show Snake and Grey Fox grow as friends so its sad and badass when you have a boss fight with Grey Fox on a mine field And I know some people will not like this but I would like Snake to have his Kyle Reese look thats in the thumbnail no bandana just his communication headphones and I want to hear someone else voice Snake I want him to sound young unexperienced David Hayter can play old Big Boss

MG1 and 2 won't be remade. It's too risky. Too much lacking in its foundation when it comes to both gameplay and story. Without Kojima, they won't risk it.

They’ll absolutely go in chronological order IMO , they’ll really have some sort of creative freedom with the Og MSX games, also gives a reason for David Hayter’s major involvement with the remake 🤷🏽‍♂️ Konami knows the community want the games to be remade & possibly even new games. You gotta think man MGS3 is the first game chronologically 🤦🏽‍♂️ it would make no sense for newcomers of the series to play solid snakes games when it would just confuse the absolute shit outa new gamers 🤷🏽‍♂️. Solid snake would say some shit that already happened with big boss & they won’t know wtf he’s taking about. That’s why it makes sense to release these games chronologically. Also making new games instead of retelling the story in order to newcomers makes no sense, nobody wants to play the old games cause of the old Controls also

MG2 is about Solid Snake infiltrating a base and killing BIG Boss. Big Boss is not in MGS1. Even in concept, the games are different. Furthermore, MGS1 is about Liquid reacting to his history/life and Big Boss’ legacy. MG1 and 2 are that legacy. MGS1 is about Genes. There are many reasons why they’re not comparable.

I think remakes of MG1 and MG2 should be combined as two stories in one. I think the soldiers that were from MGS5 can be the enemy soldiers in those remakes. Players can transfer files from MGS5 and put in the remakes, as a nice feature.

considering that they have the common sense to copy-paste from the original game (unlike what was done by those assholes from capcom with the "remakes" of resident evil 3 and 4) , clearly even a remake for those two chapters with the same graphical level of pokemon blue\yellow\green would be excellent , of course in that case it would be necessary to redo the soundtracks

Mgs 1 shouod have gotten thw remake treatment. So at the very least mgs 1 needs to bw the next. Jus the same as sh 2 has been remade and sh 1 needs to be remade yet. Then maybe mg 1 n 2. Nah why the fuck would we trust knoami to make a new mgs with kojima for mw nah thanks

Do I want these games remade? Sure. But mark my words, Konami will NOT remake these games until way later. It couldn't be more obvious that they are going to remake MGS1 after 3. They would have to create so many new assets for a MG1 remake: story, soundtrack, level design, voice acting, motion capture, facial capture, etc. They would basically have to create these two games from absolute scratch. Its not going to happen. Konami, being a business minded company, will follow up delta with the MGS1, which was the pinnacle of the series and the one that put it on the map. They arent going to choose a game that barely anyone has even played over a game that is widely considered to be one of the most important, innovative, and greatest games ever created. You also have to consider that MG1 & 2's stories are more on the laugable side compared to what people are used to with the Solid series. They have a completely different tone altogether. These two games would be better suited to be remade as 2D HD remakes with better controls and scrolling backgrounds similar to Ghost Babel and with voice acting from Hayter. Then there's obviously the fact that you don't even have to even play MG1 or 2 to play MGS1. They recap anything & everything that was important in those first two games in MGS1.
