i'd prefer classical ju-jutsu before modern martial arts like jiu-jitsu or judo. They are much to soft for a battle field like that. But it would be a nice add up to the claws.

I think a Sasumata would be the perfect weapon for the next hero May not have been a historical battlefield weapon, but it has incredible potential for many unique gameplay features

As much as I would love to see him portrayed in the game, each hero in FH is characterized by their respective weapon (sometimes the pairing of two different weapons but never switching between a whole arsenal), this helps to cement their identity. Furthermore heroes generally tend to be based around groups of warriors of the past as opposed to one great warrior of the past. Anyway, this was a very cool and interesting video and I've just subscribed, I look forward to seeing more :)

My guess is that they are gonna use the same tech on Medjay to have him flow into different modes or maybe he'll combine other forms like OFS, Fullguard, Medjay weapon switch, and dodge tech. Sounds hella complicated, I can't see anything going wrong with this.

I think this hero will be like Medjai, changing stances, and at the same time, the design will be like Acelotr, with two different weapons, one in each hand, thus totaling 4 different weapons. but I would love it if they showed something completely new.

I haven't watched the video yet but I've been wanting a nagamaki hero with more historically accurate armor for the past few years now. They could even base it off of Ayu, since the nagamaki and nodachi are both similar

Yeah exactly. The nagamaki isn't a very common weapon either, so if they want something less common, I think that'd be fine.

@@Kurt20051YT Personally, I would actually enjoy a Geisha type hero that uses the tessen fans. A dancer of sorts that can perform supporting dances through feats or something along those lines. I want something unique like that. It's probably not historically accurate tho so I doubt they'd do that.

@@Kurt20051YT I guess it would end up a lot like Nuxia. I imagine incorporating dances into attacks, movements, and dodges. Maybe even an attack chain that ends with a dance that moves her backwards away from the opponent. I imagine she would reposition herself a lot using dances for chains. Perhaps even do something like the Mugen Ryu state Hitokiri has where she enters a dance state for chains, or something like Highlanders where she can enter a dance form. As for feats, she'd have to take on a supportive role granting buffs for her team through active dances and passive dances. Imagine Regenerate, but when out of combat she enters a dance that either buffs her allies temporarily or gives them a Regenerate effect. Her other passive feat could be like Slipknots effects activating upon dodge, her dancing dodges could apply a supportive buff to allies on successful dodges similar to Varangian Guards' buffs on superior attacks. There's a lot you could actually do with her, but her gameplay, like you said, would probably end up similar in combat to Nuxia.. but with more slashing from the tessen fans..

That would be really cool but how would they put all those weapons into one hero? Would they have sets of weapons for cosmetics? Would their feats be replaced with weapon swaps? So many questions and seems far to complex for for honor but it would be so cool to have all of those in one hero.

If benkei is going to be the new samurai hero, will yoshitsune be a new skin for Orochi? I think this would be a good combination to recreate the duel between the two characters on the bridge.

A hero ala medjay but with two separate kit and that can switch from a spear in teamfight for a katana for duel scenario would be insane Spear kit would be simple, inspired by Jiang Jung playstyle, with some hyperarmor and UB to cleave the enemy team Katana would be mixup intensive with parry counters, soft feints, chain bashes and UB pressure ala centurion Since we just got VG which is the superior block godess and that thje last samurai was Kyoshin, we can safely assume that this hero will be an offensive hero with no specific defensive option, so I bet he will have some mix up intensive part at least. WE can also assume it will be a dude. It's been a while UBI is going for man/women pattern of hero release.

While the weapon is obviously the most important thing,I also expect the new hero to have some nice,clean looking armor sets.Since the release i been waiting for a samurai hero to have the "back flag"thing you see in some samurai armors,like in the last samurai movie.That would have been awesome for the Kensei,but i dont think the devs will make it,unfortunately.Lets just hope for the best

i got three guesses what type of samurai it'll be 1.) a Metsuke (Samurai Official wielding a Jutte) 2.) a Sohei although instead of a Naginata maybe a Yari or Nagamaki or Branched Sword 3.) another type of Shinobi but with a Kodachi

I don’t think it would be a monk warrior, we already have one and in theory nobushi also is a monastically trained unit. Personally I wouldn’t mind it being something like what you described, but i find it improbable. What I would like instead is a Yari-wielding fighter, the one type with a cross profile. I imagine it like a hero that: -has 2 hit basic combos but can chain at the end of each with a forward dodge. -has enhanced forward dash-attacks with both fast and slow variations as main outstanding property. -can charge forward like afeera to close longer distances. -with a post-parry option to dodge back/push you back as part of the punishing attack (to give you enough space so that you can start pressing the attack with your forward dashes). -can use that deleted animation from nobushi that allowed her to move backwards after blocking an attack (this can chain with his basic combos).

I think that would feel too out of place or goofy. If it was a feat on some of the Wu Lin heroes it would have been perfect. I’ve been hoping for a Wu Lin assassins hero with butterfly swords and I would love for them to have a rope dart as a ranged feat since we now have Ocelotl with something similar.

What they need is miyamoto musashi. The greatest swordsman who won 60 duels and never lost a single one and died to old age. His first kill was at the age of 13. Wrote the book the 5 rings which is the stepping stone of how to be a samurai. His class would be assassin vanguard/ hybrid. He would carry a katana in one hand and a wakazashi in other. His duel wielding style would be identical to aramusha but he would have deflects and undodgeable side dodge attacks. No blade blockade but has heavy unblockable finishers. Hits like a vanguard moves like an assassin. His play style is harasser and straight forward.

@@adrianguerrero2949 aramusha is based off of a plain Ronin. Miyamoto mushashi yes was indeed a ronin as well but carried a wakazashi not 2 katanas. His movements would be similar to peacekeeper having 1 long and 1 short. Hell give him a duel fighting stance like medjay where in normal stance he’s using a katana like orochi, but then pulls out his wakazashi and goes aramusha. Point being aramusha unfortunately is not the same style as miyamoto musashi. If your a martial artist and you studied kenjitsu or Hyōhō Niten Ichi-ryū or Niten Ichi-ryū which includes throwing your wakazazhi and obviously using both short and long sword you would see a much larger moveset than what aramusha currently has.

He’s got 2 books 1 of his story life and 2 the book he wrote himself called the 5 rings or the 5 spheres (depends on translation) he straight up says having 1 long sword and 1 short sword and utilizing the tools you have benefits you not only in duels but also on the battlefield. He then goes into intricate details of foot work, movement, mindset, intent, facial expression, timing etc… aramusha is I’m sorry just a ronin.
