Road gaps are rare in mountain biking. So when I saw videos of this particular road gap in South Africa, I knew I wanted to hit it... But Yuka... wasn't so sure...
Thank you to South Sky for inviting us down to visit. Their guiding services were second to none, and they took care of everything, even the bidets! If you're interested in going on a similar adventure, please visit them at:

The shot with Yuka in the bed of the truck looked like an ad for either the truck or the trail park (if it's a park)🤣. I have to say, BMX kept me out of trouble I probably would have gotten into at that age. I hope it works well for this town also.🤙🏽

BCpov, you have, without even knowing it, inspired me and many others with your videos.. Around 5 years ago was the first time I stumbled onto one of your videos. I was just scrolling through KZfaq knowing nothing about mountain biking and a video of you popped up, this was from back in your days of Half Nelson in Squamish and early Whistler stuff. I remember watching you weave through the trees incredibly fast, just having fun and being you. Little did I know the journey this would start for me. Watching your videos led to buying a bike (literally from Walmart) and start my riding experience. Fast forward 5 years and I'm working at a bike shop, riding a bike that's worth more than my car, and traveling the world having the absolute time of my life... All because of you. You are the channel that started it all for me, and because of this I will be forever indebted to you. I will support you and Yuka as long as I can because you are the ones who started it all for me. Thank you Eric. Your videos truly change lives. I would never have discovered this happiness and my inner peace if it were not for you, your videos, and your amazing wife Yuka. Thank you. I can only hope and dream to be able to ride with you all one day. Please keep making videos, at your own pace, as long as it makes you happy. They definitely make many of us happy. I hope I can inspire people the way you have inspired me.

Haven't watched your vids for about 6 months (no reason other than I've not been online much) I have to say, editing etc is improved, along with both yourself and yuka's riding. I know you tend to be hard on yourself, but I'm impressed bud. You deserve all the success and happiness man. You two make a great team,(I'm glad Yuka started her own channel,it has a completely different feel to yours, yet equally as entertaining) and come across as the most genuine, down to earth couple in KZfaq MTB. That road gap looks tiny on GoPro, once you see a separate angle, that's when you get a more realistic idea of size, and it's definitely a decent size!! Congrats Eric and Yuka, brilliant video, and what an amazing trip!
