It's simple to predict, kinda hard to put into practice, 'cause you don't know where EXACTLY you're gonna have to use it and it leaves a ton of space for devs to create either a masterpiece or another "Man of Medan". "The Quarry" is somewhere between those two. At least for me. :)

@@JC_Cali Agreed, this game has the best characters of them all, but Until Dawn isn't too far behind w/ characters like Samantha & Michael tbh. Ngl, even the annoying characters like Emily are still really well written. Most of the characters from the Dark Pictures Anthology are kinda bland tho (all those games kinda pale in comparison to Until Dawn & The Quarry anyway imo, besides House of Ashes).

If he were insecure, he would do one of three things depending on his personality: continue shouting, feeling the need to be heard and have his feelings validated, shut down entirely and become unresponsive, or apologize meekly out of fear of the other person's reaction. He didn't do the first two, and the apology was by no means meek, nor is the girlfriend abusive. No, he's not insecure. He realized it wasn't helping either of them for both of them to be upset, apologized so he could also calm her down, and they both became rational as a result.

I feel like he's too nice. He didn't need to apologize for being upset with her that she had no confirmation before they arrived. I wouldn't apologize as a woman if my guy did that and then called me a dick for being upset about it lmao. I'd probably curse him out and expect him to apologize. Laura never gets any redeeming qualities from my perspective. Even when she does a couple nice things, it never seems to stick in her personality.

My rule in games and movies is that if you don’t see them die/the fatal wound/accident, and their body, they’re still alive (haven’t finished the video so if a shot of Max’s definitely dead body turns up later, ignore me lmao)

Imagine it like this, you've got enslaved, amputated, and you lose all your teeth and got f**ked 24/7, and one day someone saved you from those nightmare. Either you worked yourself to make your own robotic arm, upgraded yourself, find some way to fix your eating problem, or just crying yourself, doing nothing at the corner. Worked yourself does make you stronger, which means the torture that you have during the time is not enough to kill you, you still have the power and ability to move on and change a lot of things. But if you gave up and become useless all your life after that, not only you failed and defeated, but that also mean the bad experience that you have before DID kill you, mentally and physically. Or, you did it a bit of both, which also means the same thing, the experience didn't kill you enough to be useless, but it did damaged you. Honestly, of course, there's space for arguments for this quote. Feel free to share your opinion.

I understand where you are coming from, although the wording of being useless and it killing you is way harsh. The reality of situations like this is, what doesnt kill you runs up hella therapy bills is wayy more accurate. Trauma especially childhood trauma, any type of abuse, war trauma sticks with you often for life. For some people this might be helpful idk but I think it can sound hella condescending or like toxic positivity ik I'd definately not like to hear this after something horrible happens. Yea I’m so weird with things like games, movies, and oddly? celebrity deaths. All 3 of those things fly by in my mind. For example, it feels like I was just playing Super Mario Sunshine on the GameCube with my brother like 5 years ago. It released in O2. The Hunger Games trilogy was huuuge for me & I loOoOoved the series. And I remember around that same time, Divergent’s series was also huge and I often got them confused even tho I never watch the latter. Feels like that fan girl-like era for me was also just a couple years ago but low n behold…the 1st movie was 10 years ago. Like, h u h ???? Celeb deaths is a whole other ballpark for me. As well as when “celebrities” (I hate the word/lore behind the word celebrity lol) have kids, same premise. For some reason, those specific situations always feel like they JUST happened or were JUST born and are still babies/toddlers, but A) it’s coming up on some 5, 10 year anniversary since their passing and/or B) the kids they “just” had are whole ass teenagers and not toddlers. Lmao. I know that last one is very specific but it’s crazy how my pea brain works with all those instances. (also I hope this all makes sense and makes sense to OP’s original point lol. Like I said:✨pea brain✨) I think it’s why I have such a hard time letting go and moving on from older games; I still feel like they’re all in their prime and fresh games/movies & that I can still easily access & play them. But what I said still stands true- if you don’t give them a reason to stay inside, it’s not gonna do a damn thing. It might even encourage them to go outside, because when you tell a bunch of young adults not to do something without reason they’re going to test it out. Or, tell them the truth, maybe not that he’s related to them but that there are werewolves, so when they hear wolves and shit in the woods they’re more inclined to stay the fuck indoors. If they don’t believe you, then at least you actually did your part instead of just a little “teehee stay inside kids no matter what.” Who cares if they don’t come back next year as long as they’re still alive? I doubt not scaring them away is the priority here. Just seems to be a theme with games and movies that pisses me off.

Considering the whole "she tries to make people into her son" part of the ghost story, yeah seems likely that it would target men more.

Well Jack and the couple at the start do mention the cop having visible blood on his neck. He's most likely wearing the same substance as the hunters just underneath his clothes to make it less visible and still have the effect of warding off the creature. I do think the Cop and the hunters maybe Red Herrings similar to the hunter in until dawn. Where we as the player may suspect them but in reality they're hunting what's actually hunting you. Also you're theory is interesting considering the Ghost Story is about a hag who wants to turn people into her son. It would make sense that she targets the males first. So the question is, are they using Laura's blood because she's technically alive she just got sedated. Or are they using a mysterious substance they emits an odor that the creature dislikes.

I also think that little vile Abi found in the tree was the weird blood cause apparently it smelled really bad

Alr, alr, if the game is about werewolves of some kind, then I don't think the hunters are the werewolves. Because if they were werewolves, then they wouldn't need to cover themselves in this... blood? Liquid? Anywho, I think it's the son of the woman who died in the fire that's the werewolf (if that's the monster we're looking for) and that at least one of the kids will turn into a werwolf as well in a story branch.

Jack is taking it a bit too literally out of game. He was saying that there are many things that you can survive but will leave you weaker physically. That's kinda missing the point of the saying, as it's more referring to people going through hardship and coming out as stronger people mentally. For example, many people who become handicapped take what happened to them as a wake up call and become more active than before, no longer taking their existence for granted. In game, however, it definitely comes across as an on the nose hint that people are gonna get hurt and change for the "better."

My hearing is trash from work so I have to watch people's lips now. I can't lip read but I can get a general idea of what's being said based on what little I do hear and what their lips do..... .. ... Something something [What them lips do?] Joke.....

@@Voc_spooksauce I know that not everyone who is blind has milky eyes, as there are multiple causes for blindness, such as scarring of the cornea, cataracts, retinal degeneration, or malformation, or an issue with an optic nerve, but as it is a video game with planned character designs giving her clouded eyes for the purpose of storytelling it would be an obvious visual shorthand to convey a character's trait.
