So it appears there's a mistake, despite throne saying yubel monster, that does not count as it mentioning yubel, and therefore cannot be searched in this specific combo that i showed. @@ryionizer3622 OG Yubel is always a "Yubel" monster. A "Yubel" monster may not be the OG Yubel (since it has many forms).

I really appreciate these theory type videos. If anything it's just nice seeing higher caliber players getting excited about different things. It's disheartening to see how often they get met with "inconsistent trash" or "never gonna top" type attitudes cause I would much rather listen about the potential of a card from someone that tried it, than autopilot knee jerk reaction of someone who won't give it the time of day. Who knows if it's gonna perform, who cares really because without discussions like this video there won't be a foundation enough for it to get innovated on in the first place.

You severely underestimate Grinder Golem. Unbricking a Spirit from hand, blocking Imperm, potential chainblocks with the gy effect, the immediate OTK if pain survives a turn and you have any dark, are all very helpful when the pure version struggles to close the game while the unchained variant requires Gustav and playing into Nib. Same for Chronicle (but to a much lesser extend). The super Poly search is indeed a bait, but reviving Yubel can preserve Yama and makes the rank 10 more easily. The removal effect can matter, while getting facedown banished cards can be more effective if droll leaves the format by abusing the bridges with Small World. I believe "fiend pile" versions need to be explored more, this works for be better when i go above 40.

Hey jesse big fan & i’m excited for phantom of yubel bc The deck has so much potential. Did you know eternal favorite cracked is if it’s second in a chain circumvents the “neither player can activate effects in response” clause which allows spirit or any monster summoned off it to activate bc the window isn’t when it was summoned. It’s a fun little bit of nuance that ppl forget. Also if you tech barricade borg blocker it helps just as much for the deck to fetch back resources & protect your spells.

I've been testing this deck extensively since the Lede support was announced. The "pure" list feels nice but personally i found to be better to also be playing 1 shyama and 1 abyss actor. 1 lotus ends on rage + phantom + caesar which is hard to deal with and if you open throne or extenders you now search spoly with the other continuous spell and 1 to 2 card combos now end on like rage + caesar + phantom + lotus + spoly which felt extremely strong in testing

Geist grinder can be used to stop lighting storm evenly imperm in hand the summon of fenrier and if you have it in hand with no yubell? Cool pop it with pain or dump it for spirit gate combo then when a "yubell"is summoned summon it to there field

The ruling for Nightmare Throne is that it doesn't mention "Yubel" specifically, it says *"Yubel" Monster*. Spirit of Yubel can only search cards that mention the monster "Yubel" specifically so it cannot add Nightmare Throne.

Just curious what you plan to pop with the fusion effect if you only run 1 yubel and it ends up under the rank ten, it kinda seems like you are forced to use the omni up before using the phantoms effect to gain advantage.

Unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to add the field spell with spirit of Yubel because Knightmare throne specifies “Yubel monster” which refers to all Yubel monsters. I think I explained that correctly

I think Geist grinder should at least be in the side deck to prevent the opponent from using blow out board breakers like Lightning storm and evenly matched since the deck can only put up 1 true negate in the rank 10 monster. mature may contribute to some brick hands but it also opens up different combo lines depending if you already have super poly or a way to search super poly while building the desired endboard. I personally don't think Unchained Abomination is necessary unless it's against a stun deck but the regular yubel end board shown should be enough to deal or play through it.

I think playing 2 OG Yubels is better as that allows you to be more flexible (You can't use the fusion to summon a monster when your only yubel is used as an xyz material)

im so glad you're high on this deck, i see a lot of people doubting it but i think it's really legit. even before phantom i thought it had a lot of potential, and phantom just makes it crazy. personally i think eternal favorite is pretty overrated, it definitely has its benefits but i think people should definitely experiment with cutting it. i feel it's pretty clunky and not as good as it seems at first. also, it ironically forces you to play super hard into super poly lol.

@@jessekottonygo That combo didn't work did it? At the end of that combo, unless I'm mistaken, you used muckraker to reborn spirit of yubel (locking you into fiends), then you overlayed it with yubel into the rank 10, which is a wyrm. Am I missing something?

Yeah, wordings like that are used for cards that belong to a series as opposed to an archetype. Yubel's support is basically cut from the same cloth as Dark Magician, except Yubel is actually good lol. I'm really excited to experiment with this in my Branded deck, and knowing my friend, she'll undoubtedly run this engine in HEROs because she'll quite literally do anything to not have to play Destiny HEROs in her deck.

Konami hitting Sharvara to 1 only for every fiend deck to continue splashing in the single copy anyway is classic. In reality, all they did was hit pure Unchained. It’s like when Konami hit Spright Starter and the only deck that even played more than 1 copy was pure spright anyways. I give it 1-2 banlists tops before they give us the dog back.

Gates is once per turn per card but I think 3 beast 2 gates is better because if you open the beast and get gates then normal the other beast you have a way to activate the gates in later turn because you can’t activate gates if you don’t have a legal target in deck so it’s a dead card in your hand if you already went through your 2 beast and you don’t have gates face up on board ;( I think that’s the reasoning behind 3 beast 2 gates

it can't sadly it was already disproven the day the card was revealed basically it's a english translation issue or/certain words weren't added in old contact fusions and it forever doesn't mentioned these words in every contact fusion in english contact fusions while they aren't a fusion summon since it says "special summon this card", the english translation/missing words issue is in the part that uses "using the above cards". this text line is referring the the fusion materials of the card. even though it doesn't say it's using them as fusion material in english, it's considering the cards as fusion material regardless that it's not a fusion summon so the fusion can't use itself for another copy of itself because it can't be used as fusion material, and the cards special summon treats shuffling the above cards, as fusion material for that effect

To link away either Lotus or Beckoning so that Gate has a target in order to legally activate. From that point you may discard a Spirit and revive that instead.

It's to link off beckoning beast so if u open spirit gates if u play around imperm by linking off the beast and using gates u send samsara for cost then reborn it and full combo

Squirmer dodges both targeting effects and is also 2 bodies while it has incredible synergy with Yama. Throne is a huge consistency booster for the deck and will generate value every turn after that despite not being searchable. The new Fusion is the cherry on top, and i really hope it gets imported on Terminal Revenge like other EX card in the past.

Why cant I just have chaos space and elpy and halq back. I hate these boring simple line linear mid range decks. If I cant have a real combo deck I demand Kashtira gets back the flood gate monster. This looks playable but I am not sold. It seems like unchained with a slightly better field. Which against snake eye I see this shit getting rolled. Ill take your word on this one. I hope it is good because I kinda liked unchained. They would need to slow the format down by hitting snake eye ash. Love the content. Always liking to see the content. Keep posting!

OG Yubel is a "Yubel" monster, a "Yubel" monster is not the OG Yubel. Only Dark Magician players know this pain that well.
