Totally agree. I think if someone else plays the character, Loki can be represented very differently. There is something about how Tom plays Loki that makes me feel for him and see the soft side in him.

I always feel like that to Tom Hiddleston Loki is a very endearing character, much like a little brother or a child of his own. I'm not sure if it's because he's been portraying the character for quite a long time and reprising the role several times in multiple movies so that he's been through a psychological journey through the mind of Loki. Or if it's because it's simply his breakthrough role in Hollywood so that he loves it very much. It's just that it is very apparent (at least to me) that he cares about the character very much, in almost a personal level.

To play Loki the way TH has, I think he HAS to have love for the character, and that shows through in his portrayal of the role -- and so we all love Loki, too. (Well, that, and TH is unbearably HOT. . . . )

He could have been just another evil dude trying to take over the world but Tom brought something to him that maybe you feel bad for him or at least understand where he’s coming from and those are the “bad guys” you remember most, maybe even more than the heroes

Natalie Zayas-Bazan dude!?!?! Really!?!? The whole point of these antagonists in general is to seem misunderstood and relatable, which elevated the plot and brings moral issues. This is true of Loki. Where Snape is considered, if you have read or seen hp at all, then it is made clear in the concluding moments of DH than he was a good guy all along. Can’t believe some people, but no hard feelings.😄
