Greer Garson and Dick Van Dyke present the Oscar for Costume Design (Black-and-White) to Dorothy Jeakins for The Night of the Iguana and for Costume Design (Color) to Cecil Beaton (accepted by Gladys Cooper) for My Fair Lady at the 37th Academy Awards. Hosted by Bob Hope.

Wow! Greer Garson looks spectacular here and Gladys Cooper is always lovely even when she was playing mean old ladies.

What a joy seeing Gladys Cooper get an Oscar--if only in passing. Loved Dorothy Jeakins too. It was a surprise win because she was a freelancer and was never contracted to a studio. And Moss Mabry! What a great guy. Lot of laughs. He never won an Oscar but just his mention here brings a smile.Great shot of the non-nominated Deborah Kerr.

Beautiful Audrey Hepburn - Jack Warner (producer) seated behind her. Gladys Cooper (Mrs.Higgins) accepts on behalf of Cecil Beaton. Dick Van Dyke as of today is still alive at 96!

Did you see the fold-out chairs the audience sat in? That was the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Thank God they updated to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion!
