Probably not, but there is definitely less room for error at this weight class than there is in the lower weight classes, and Ngannou is an extremely hard punching and BIG heavyweight. Ngannou does also definitely have a good chin, and isn't going to go down easy.

@carlito3859 …Tyson has been knocked down and gotten up, yup! But the more you get knocked down, the easy it is to get knocked down again. Usyk is the smaller man, but wins on the cardio, hands down. If Usyk gets in good work to Tysons body for 3 rounds, without getting caught flush himself….Usyk wins. Seems like a monumental task against a huge opponent with an awkward punching style in Tyson! Fury’s mouth flaps excessively…I’d like to see Usyk win, just to humble Tyson a wee bit. Haha, it’ll be a good fight to watch…if Fury doesn’t have “an injury during training”, and ducks again.

Usyk is same height as Cunningham, but 2 inch reach disadvantage, turning into an 5 inch reach disadvantage against Fury. And Cunningham also wasn't know for his knockout power, but still sat Tyson down. Usyk is not little and a lot more nimble than Cunningham, so is still some possibility of a wonderful fight there. If you take Cunningham as a role model for the Usyk-Fury fight then there is a lot to look forward to there. In addition, Fury takes full time off between fights, drinks and eats the wrong things, while Usyk is nearly always looking after himself. At this stage of both their careers, that could make all the difference.

Fury is a Manchester man and made insulting reference to a Liverpool fighter, it’s tradition😂 Just so folks around the world know, Manchester and Liverpool are only 60km from each other in the North West of England and they have a traditional rivalry, envy and often a genuine hatred of each other that runs much deeper than their respective sport or famous football teams. It’s about socioeconomic status, social/antisocial habits, accent etc… since the days of the Industrial Revolution 200 years ago. You’ll often get reference to that when competitors show up in any field (sport, and music especially) from those cities. If one set of fans show off and make noise about their city, and don’t behave themselves things can turn ugly and violent. If they’re foolish enough to criticise rivals on their own turf, then God help them! It’s a very real rivalry that will probably never die.

Steve Cunningham could really hang with any heavyweight if it wasnt a short notice fight. Yeaes ago I trained in some Philly gyms and there were quite a few journeymen who worked it like a job. Always on call for late notice fill ins always in pretty good shape training year round and non plussed by any big money or opponent opportunity. Too many good fighters in Philly for him or those like him to be phased. Cunningham was always ready always in shape and just plain good. A modern day Jimmy Young.
