The Hyldr Chronicles tells the story of a supernatural japanese girl, Kyōko, who is mysteriously torn away from her rural coastal home of Ezo 蝦夷 (Hokkaido) and thrown into a deadly world of vikings and Norse mythology.
The book's story is used as an outline for the first album of the gothic metal band HYLDR!
