First a torture to break her by the Emperor, then her eye to Vader, then one foot to Sixth Brother, then one hand to Cal Kestis, one slash across the chest which would kill most of people, and at the end her head to end her misery. She really had been through a lot, perhaps the inquisitor who deserved pity the most, maybe even more than Second Sister. Cere was blamed for her being too weak against imperial torture, but we're talking about Sith. They just know plenty of ways, of how to break the toughest of Jedi.

That swift strike was a mercy killing when you think about it. There’s a number of these Jedi that didn’t want to become inquisitors. But they were too afraid of Vader’s wrath or too broken from the Empire’s insidious torture to return to the light.

Know why I loved this encounter? Not only because Cal had obviously grown way more skilled and dispatched her like she was nothing. It showed that despite all his hardships, the people he’d lost, he was still a Jedi. He did not kill out of hate or vengeance. He simply released her from her torment. He could see that deep down, she loathed her existence.

Yeah what it really does well is show that cal has been training and improving since the last game, where previously he had to fight for his life now he calmly breaks down and destroys her

He became a knight in the First game but I don't remember if it was before or after the first fight with the ninth sister. Anyway, it doesn't matter since not alot of time passed so his skills was the same

This Is actually smart gameplay wise.. to bring back an old boss as the opener to get you reacquainted with the controls and mechanics etc.. story wise It fits well too

@@baki484 I feel like the best representation of Cal's growth in this fight is the fact that several of her attacks (most notably the overhead slam and the left to right spinning sweep (the one that doesn't combo)) that were unblockable in Fallen Order are able to be blocked/parried normally in Jedi Survivor even during the course of this fight her thrust attack changes from unblockable to just being a regular attack when she enters phase 2

@@Eclipsed_Embers that's true too. Then there are the Saber clashes in fallen order he used them slide using the slippery surface to evade and get an attack in now he just stands his ground and sustains the blade locks he even pushed her off when he splits his sabers.

A nice detail is that some of the moves she has in this game can now be parried or blocked, while in the previous game they were unblockables.

When I saw cal bust out the dual sabers mid fight & you just basically punish ninth sister then hit her with that counter. I was like who said you could be that saucy & how he finishes her so clean🔥🔥🔥🔥. Cal literally went from just “boy” to literal him 🤙🏻

I've been through enough fake deaths in various media to know when it's real and when they're leaving the door open. When I finished the Ninth Sister fight, I noticed, "there's no body..." So, not surprised to see her, though maybe a bit surprised they wanted to lead off with her. The playthroughs being posted today don't make her out to be too tough...
