Such a tremendous loss for country music, one of the best voices ever & ever will be. In addition, a humble kind man, truly gifted in music. Also, the video probably the best, follows the song's words, like watching a movie. Bless his wife & children. RIP Daryle.

Daryl could take almost anybody else's song and do it better than they ever could...Vern Gosdin could make you cry with the songs he wrote...they both put heart...pain...and tears in everything they done...they made you feel like they lived every song they sang...both of them are simply the best

One of the best voices in country music that never really got the fame he deserved for his talents. Another great artist that left us way too soon in recent years. :( This was one of my favorite songs on the radio during my first year in middle school. It's hard to believe that it was only in the late 90's that a song this traditional could still get played on the radio. I miss these times!

Sad day for country music. Daryl grew up 30 miles from my home and in my opinion he had the best "country" voice of any of the stars of the 90's. He never got the credit he deserved. Watched him at a benefit concert back in the late 2000's with him and his brother. Their version of How Great Thou Art was the best i have ever heard. RIP brother!
