She loved both of them very much but with noah the love was different they knew each other so her heart was drawn to him as if it was a spell but she fainted because all the memories came rushing in and the sudden shock overwhelmed her. She always loved him but had given up and fell in love again. She didn't marry for money but that certainly made things easier.

she was in such a difficult situation. She loved both men. No doubt. She restarted her life thinking Noah would never come back and was broken. She forced herself to fall in love again. But after years of moving on to find out, Not only did Noah keep his promise. His love didn’t go anywhere. Meaning, she felt like she must have missed something along the way. That’s why she decided to get some answers and find out why they didn’t work out if he still loved her enough to build a house for her. Many things would run through my mind. She went back to get some closure.

I don't know if I could take back someone who wanted to marry without thinking a single thougt about me. If she didn't see that picture in newspaper, she would probably marry and that's it. And he didn't stop thinking about her all these years even he was having (only physical) realtionship with other woman. So for me, she didn't love him as much he loved her. I would say she didn't deserve him. But yet, when I think of that, she didn't recieve a single letter from him (because of her mother), she probably thought that he gave up on her, and that he continued with his life, so she also continued with her life too. So yea, it seems that advertisement did it all.That was a small incentive but a very big step for their fate, actually a love/relationship/or whatever you want to call it, that didn't completely ended, didn't proven ended from any of their sides.

It’s funny isn’t it. My story is similar in that my ex-girlfriend has now left our relationship twice! My head says, leave her alone with her two daughters and move on with my life with my two young adults. Everyone else says likewise. My heart says that I still love her to pieces! We only live once so I should go to her and fight it out for her, only I don’t think that she is strong enough to fight it, so I love her enough to leave her alone. No easy decision to make.

What I liked about this movie is how they stated that SHE was the only one who had to find out, to knew what she wanted. There was nothing ANYONE could do, there was no possible help from ANYONE to make her decision, because it was HER decision, no mother, or sisters, or fiances, or ex boyfriends, noone could help, noone could tell her what to do, it was only her. And she decided, she tried with one guy and another for a short period, and made her choice with the posibilities she had. There was nobody imposing anything, it was her person, and THAT is what has been respected.

It is a choice at the end of the day. Noah did all he could then ultimately didn't have a choice but to do something with his time kind of reminds of Chris Selena's husband. He married, dated, etc yet that man knows in his heart there will never be another woman for him like Selena... you just don't get 2 of those in a lifetime

She made them respect that, I repeat, given the clarity of her election.

It was probably a bit of both. She did love Lon. But she saw that house and, in that moment, knew Noah had something that she needed more than money could buy. Lon’s money was a nice bonus. Ally realized that Noah, although he wasn’t rich, could fulfill her on a deeper level, which was why she fell in love with him to begin with. He understood and connected with her. It said in the book that she’d never slept with Lon, yet she had slept with Noah. That is why - Lon didn’t fulfill her on an emotional and spiritual level. Lon had what She needed to be happy superficially. Noah had what she needed to be truly happy.

Plot twist: when she hit her head she was put into a coma, and it was there that she imagined her life with Noah. She had a full life with him, but as she started to recover out of unconsciousness, that life died forever, which is why they were able to “go out” together that way.

It's not very common but yes it has happened. When someone's brain says "you can't handle this much all at once" it sorta shuts down and then you just boom faint
