RIP Christopher Wallace. Biggie would have turned 50 today. In such a short time he made a huge impact on New York rap. His flow was so unique and his grim lyrics got your attention.

Wow him holding his daughter and his Mom is in the video to. It's heartbreaking thinking about what he would have been like today and he passed away before his son Cj was born. One of my favorite part's is "Spread Love It's The Brooklyn Way" as well. Good reaction.
@TTM9691
@TTM9691 2 жыл бұрын
The best. When this came out, and all the others, it's all you heard on the radio. (at least here in NYC). (The west coast/east coast thing was big back then, obviously - and ultimately with tragic and stupid consequences - so maybe it wasn't that way elsewhere). Correct me if I'm wrong, BJ (or anybody).....it felt like I just woke up one day....and there were, like, ten Biggie songs in constant rotation. This one, other stuff from "Ready To Die", the Junior Mafia stuff, he's on the Craig Mack song (I'd LOVE to see a reaction to that! "Flava In The Ear"! The version with Busta and Biggie,Method Man, etc) ALSO: "Brooklyn Zoo" by ODB. Another guy gone too soon. DAMN. Did ODB and Biggie ever record together? I can't remember. Have to check that out. They HAD to have, right? Nothing is coming to mind, though. PS: REQUEST: "Vibes And Stuff" by Tribe Called Quest is a rap song that gives me goosebumps, maybe it's the track, but it memorializes all the rappers who had gotten killed up to that point. I think that's considered perhaps a "deep cut", don't know if I'm the only one who likes it, and maybe you need to know the first decade of rap to fully appreciate all the names he's talking about, but I'd love to see a reaction to that one. Damn, I can't stop! Because now I'm thinking of Scott La Rock, who was one of those names. Boogie Down Productions: "Super Hoe" cracks me up, where Scott is cast as a notorious womanizer, so funny. Probably the only non-sociological-political song BDP ever did! ANd DEFINITELY "South Bronx"! And "The Bridge Is Over" Where did hip hop come from: Queens or the Bronx? KRS-One settles it, never to be disputed again, lol. Ok enough from me. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

The funny part about this song is when it first came out, Biggy wasn’t super famous yet. He blew up mostly off of this song, so even though he was talking Big it was more of what he envisioned than it being reality at the time

94 i believe some of the best hip hop songs that i feel are classics used samples and its probably the very reason why theyre timeless greats.. miss watching and recording music vids from mtv raps etc in the 90s when mtv actually played music and had various music shows dedicated to different genres being a huge fan of Eazy always liked the part in this video where Big says "Smiles everytime my face is up in The Source" and shows the july 94 issue of The Source mag with Eazy E on the cover lol

Not that you herd this classic hip hop hit from Biggie. Now take a lesson the great r&b song that they had sampled the beat from the creator of the beat MTume -Juicy fruit a great song we use to roller skate too.James MTume was a songwriter/producer/collage professor of music. R.I.P to both James MTume & Biggie both were great in there fields in music history.
