On one of my many trips to West Virginia, one of the most Beautiful states in the country. I stopped in Roderfield. There they have twin tunnels.. I only focused on the one I could actually get close to. got an NS Unit Hopper train going Thru it. hope you enjoy the video.

That’s a pretty crazy tunnel in the beginning, don’t drive drunk through there you’ll end up over the edge😂. That’s an awesome spot there, 2 SD70ACe’s on the head and an ES40DC running 3rd. Can they run double stacks through there? Great video Pappy👍🏼😎🇺🇸

I think you can fall off the bridge sober 🤣🤣 glad you liked this one Eddie. Yeah all the tunnels on this line were either notched to take the stacks or track dug down and lowered. It's a very important line for them..

We pronounce it Roaderfield, even tho there's no a in it. Yes these are our hillbilly roads and we are part goat lol! It's a beautiful place come an visit

🤣🤣🤣 thats awesome Tom, thank you. I love your roads. We try to get somewhere down there at least once a year. Love chasing trains thru the WV country side. This was our first time in Roaderfield lol and we were greeted by a pack of dogs. Friendly and happy as hell to see us. We gave them a few treats and they went about thier way.. 🤣 hope to get back there sooner.. I have other videos coming and a few in the Tunnel playlist of me being down there.. appreciate this comment and you watching.. thank you.

I wonder if that tunnel was originally was an arch or was it always that shape?

All the tunnels on that line had to be altered, the either dug down to lower the track, or cut notches so the double stacks would fit thru, I did a video a while back, check the tunnel playlist for the Mason jar tunnel video.. glad you enjoyed it, appreciate you watching.

🤣🤣 yup its a road to people's houses back there. There's some crazy roads in the hills of WV. There's some mountain roads hat skinny too, with no guard rails. Glad you enjoyed it Dwight..
