He actually predicted that they (T1) would be the ones sending JDG home.. with a 3-1 too-

Their team synergy was so good and their ults layered perfectly on one another. It was a really clutch game decision with high risks, but it ended with them winning game 3 and be at match point! In 20:42, that's from the 2023 Worlds Swiss teaser, JDG were on their way to the Golden Road (having won Spring, MSI, and Summer all in the same year. All they needed was Worlds) and it's a feat that no team has yet accomplished. They were the heavy favorites to win Worlds, but indeed T1 stopped them. I recommend watching T1's 2023 Worlds teasers, they are so spine chilling and provides a little bit of story/history behind! (Worlds 2023 T1 vs LNG- Faker vs Scout; Worlds 2023 T1 vs JDG-Faker vs Ruler; and Worlds 2023 T1 vs WBG). And the funny thing is ,Faker could've left the game and live a really good life without needing to work ever since like 2017 or 18 at the very least ,he is literally only playing for glory and nothing else ,he doesnt need to achieve anything anymore .

The lines land flat if you don't know what they are about. :D The "dark" ones are from hype videos before games. For example, in 2023 JDG(Chinese team) was on the track to win a Golden Road. Golden Roas means when in the same year you win all the seasons in your region, MSI, and Words. JDG were hyped up as a heavy favorite and the first team in history to achieve this Golder Road. . Hence in the trailer, they boast they are going to achieve it, then cut to Faker saying "All roads lead to me". And Faker and T1 did indeed win the Words that year and they eliminated JDG themselves. The lines in the trailer are written by writers tho.

I'm a big Faker fanboy but I think it's a shame that he doesn't really have all that many 'iconic' 1 vs 1's besides the big Zed vs Zed matchup. Most of his outplays are the big game-changing moments. I do think this video also missed out a lot of his cooler ones, his Galio dodge, lissandra play on baron, flashing over syndra dodging a point-blank q-e, his 1 vs 1 against Jensen.... or just those times where he finds the right target at the right time in a nail-biting game, whether it be with his gragas or akali. Wish they dug a bit deeper because I find a lot of his better moments to be the lesser-known ones.

Nothing can top the story of T1 in Worlds 2023. The journey from start to finish was incredible. The injury, worlds in Korea, Faker out of all mid tier list, T1 vs LPL, Golden road, Do or die roster, 4th seed back to back in finals.

I highly recommend watching SKT vs ROX worlds 2016. One of the best series of all time in LoL eSports. Just be prepared for longer games as the games were more about slow macro than heavy early game leads.

I recommend actually watching the teasers themselves from Worlds, LCK and MSI. At least the ones from recent years. Especially Worlds 2023, they are AMAZING.

His longevity is even more apparent when you see these plays and how much the game has changed over time, and he's been dominant this whole time. Also the "fourth trophy is for my teammates" quote goes so hard because his team was in the finals of Worlds 2022 but lost 2-3 despite being the favorites. For the 2023 year there were rumors that the team was going to make changes and all 5 players wouldn't be on the same team anymore. They ended up sticking together, and Faker said the quote at Worlds 2023 before they finally got their win.

Dude The Words is such a terribly edited video. Having ppl speak in a different language AND NOT TRANSLATING IT is so fucking bad along with the fact it literally ruins it when you do happen to watch the content where he says those words with CONTEXT (like teaser videos). Like they mean absolutely nothing with zero context the very least they could have done is add translations to to ALL of it wth The teaser videos I recommended in my other comment will have many of these quotes WITH CONTEXT and FULLY TRANSLATED I'm just sad you were spoiled by such a terrible video -.-
