Can you reverse the mount on the nvg so that when you mount it to the arm that connects to the helmet, that it will be over your left eye?

Yeah! You can mount it for either eye. There are also some adapters out there folks are making for mounting these to wilcox mounts, which I kindof recommend as the mount is definitely the weak point of this unit

Nvg30 aka nvg20 just released a few days ago man! It’s a huge leap in performance! I would definitely spend the $524 for the extra performance and clarity it has over the nvg 10. One thing I really like about the nvg30 is the FOV is *40 vs *25 degrees

They do make upgraded lens for the NVG10 that offers a 75 degree FOV along with a filter for the ir and a better bracket for an even wider view. You're right about buying a NVG 30 for that price but if people already have a NVG10 they can upgrade it to a more useable setup with just the lens.
