This was fucking awesome. I love the sincere connection w music Iggor and Drew talked about throughout this episode. Probably the best show yet.

I started listening to Sepultura when I was 12 or 13. I bought the Arise album on cassette and was hooked. Igor's drumming in Arise was the first time I ever heard anything like it.

Hey Drew, another great episode. I totally remember the Third World Chaos VHS you produced! I was in high school and dubbed it from my friend and would watch every week! Ifirst learned of the Motorhead connection from that vid watching them play Orgasmatron live.I also remember seeing similar drawings of 1:15:09 on the TWC VHS too...Igor should definitly explore that medium and consider releasing or doing a show of his drawings from world tours, experiences etc. It would be a very unique curation. 1:37:40 I TOTALLY remember the group jam with all the bands on this tour from the thrild world chaos vid red rocks performance but I wanna know about you "bossing around everyone!" LOL

Sepultura achieved legendary status during that golden period of theirs, at their peak they were as big as Pantera , Metallica or Slayer.

Found Sep at 12 or 13 - I love all of the cavalera records and I like several of the Derrick green albums as well. Arise, beneath, schitz, chaos are my fav in that order but after nearly 20 yrs I still blast arise. Cavalera conspiracy is also incredible - I couldn't believe my ears when my friend gave my psychosis I was like "this is fucking sepultura in 2017!" Nail bomb is fire as well. I’m not sure where you got that info but those guys grew up in the worst projects in Canarsie. None of them were from the suburbs.

I was supposed to go to that Sepultura, SOIA, Sacred Reich, Napalm Death tour in Detroit w all my friends. I was in like 10th grade? At the last minute, the restaurant where I was washing dishes at the time asked me to work that night. I decided I needed the extra money so I missed the show and worked instead. It pains me every time I think about it or see a flyer for that tour. I was so stupid to do that lol fml

Seems like Igor tries to completely erase from his memory everything he did in Sepultura from 1997 to 2006, it's like a taboo or something, he never speaks about it. It's a shame because he did an outstanding drumming job on some of those albums

Roots was in my top 5 most listened albums as a teenager in the 90's, and I never had the chance back then to see the original lineup of Sepultura, so I did go to see this Roots anniversary concert of yours in Budapest, Hungary a few years ago. And it was a disgrace. It was awful, and akward. And it was not because of you, but Max. It was one of the biggest disapointment of mine in terms of music...

Roots is the worst album, I stopped listening to them by that release and then the band broke up shortly after.
