Alex “Poatan” Pereira is one of the scariest men in the UFC. But he actually stumbled upon combat sports by chance as an escape from alcoholism. This chance encounter has created the Alex Pereira left hook, which is one of the deadliest punches we’ve ever seen. There have been many victims of the Alex Pereira left hook ko, both in Alex Pereira sparring and in Alex Pereira ufc.
How Stoicism made Alex Pereira a UFC champion. The story of Alex Pereira with stoic principles highlighted
Alex Pereira sparring Glover Teixeira is quite a sight, especially considering Alex Pereira’s ufc highlights. From the moment of the Alex Pereira walkout, it’s clear he has bad intentions. This was on full display in both Alex Pereira vs Sean Strickland, and Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya 2, which both ended by ko.
The Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya 2 knockout nearly ended Stylebenders career. However, despite “Poatan” being up 3-0 in the rivalry, with an Alex Pereira knockout Israel Adesanya under his belt twice, a fourth match has been booked for UFC 287. This will hopefully close the show between Alex Poatan Pereira vs Adesanya.
The Alex poatan pereira vs adesanya highlights don’t do Izzy justice, as all 3 fights have been extremely close. Izzy has typically been ahead, until he was caught. Even in the video game, Alex Poatan Pereira ufc 4, he is vicious. To Izzys credit, however, despite Israel Adesanya loses to Alex Pereira happening three times, he always picks himself up and challenges for a rematch. This has led to hopefully the final rematch: Alex Pereira to defend title vs Israel Adesanya at ufc 287.

@PsychologyOfTheFight
@PsychologyOfTheFight Жыл бұрын
@@ethanguizzo9681 It's really easy to fall victim to the trap of comparison, honestly. I notice other channels putting out content that's just clipped up videos, or something pretty simple to make, and it blows up. It makes me look at a project I'm spending weeks on and think maybe it's not worth the effort. But hearing that it really profoundly impacts someone makes it all worth it! I made 90% of my videos on iMovie, and not even the latest version of iMovie. Just the one that came with my Macbook. Now I have final cut pro, but that idea is in your head. I know that because I went through the exact same thing. I thought about making a KZfaq channel for years and years, but it was always "I'm not smart enough," or "who would listen to me," or "I don't even know how to edit." All ideas the mind creates and justifies because at the very core was the truth - I was scared. Then I finally started making videos and I realized there was nothing to be scared of. You're always gonna suck at the beginning, but you get better as you go, and even if it doesn't work out, it's a better feeling to try and fail than always wonder

@@PsychologyOfTheFight That’s a great, thought provoking question which I’ve never thought of. When you look at Leon Edwards & Charles Olivieras surging domination, it’s unquestionable the power that ‘self-belief’ holds. Which is a term commonly thrown around, but which sadly few really understand and struggle to incorporate daily. On a personal level, I love Jiris application of meditation, Zen Buddhism, mindfulness & non-duality. He’s very clear on the ‘present’ moment, and is very aware of his egoic drives. It’s clear these teachings allows the freedom to express himself in the cage, access the ‘flow’ state and not succumb to wants & desires. He demonstrates the power of going within. In addition Khabib & his unwavering self-discipline and how that’s transpired into an unbeatable career. From the perspective of my mental health journey, and working within the NHS in a very challenging and complex mental health hospital it would be fascinating to enquire on how fighters deal with mental health challenges such as depression. As your aware, the likes of the Volkanovskis, Khabibs, Yan’s, they just seem unbreakable and untouchable mentally. I’m fascinated in how they do it. They come across like nothing can ever defeat them, as if they have full control of their minds. Myself, and people I know, and work for, this isn’t reality, and internally life is very challenging. It would be fascinating to know how they do it, and how we can all apply it to our lives. They just seem to be in absolute control of themselves and their lives.

@@PsychologyOfTheFight You didn't asked me, but I'd like to make a suggestion still. I'd like a video explaining why fighters from Brazil tend to be more humble, obviously inffluenced by the oriental martial arts that always were the major force as far as martial arts goes in Brazil(Judo, BJJ, Muay Thai and Karate) in comparison with some North-American fighters that are more inffluenced by Boxing and Wrestling, which have a different cultural background and therefore, produces fighters with equal talent and skill, but with different mindsets. I'm not just bashing boxing and wrestling, I think these sports have a commercial culture that's way more developed than its oriental counterparts which were founded in a precapitalistic era.

I sincerely appreciate the kind words. It's reassuring to hear things like this - that Colby video was one of my worst performing videos in terms of objective metrics like views, but I was really proud of it when I put it out, I just figured there wasn't a desire for that kind of stuff. It's awesome to know people really enjoyed it. It's really my vision with this channel to do that - to help uplift people through the lens of mma fighters; to give people insight they can bring back to their own life to benefit themselves. Tough times don't last, tough people do. You'll make it my friend. A tiny book that helped me rethink difficult times was "Peaks and Valleys," I recommend it! Thank you for watching the video my friend
