I just wanted to say since you mentioned the zombie plane ride. While the quality control can definitely be lacking on the lemax stuff, I had a very positive experience with lemax customer service last year. I was given a broken zombie plane ride display piece by a manager at my local Michaels. I managed to open it up and find the chewed up plastic gear that was missing a few teeth. I contacted lemax customer service and they had me send them photos of the broken part. She originally told me if they were able to get the gear there would be a $10 shipping charge which I was fine with. She ultimately sent me not one, but 2 of the gear that was broken and didn’t charge me anything. The zombie plane ride was probably 2 years old at this point. I imagine it took a few emails and some research by someone to find the part I needed. They definitely went above and beyond.

I loved this review! I think the Oct-O-Squeeze could possibly be ever cooler than the wheel of horror! It was nice to see the original box too. I really liked learning the details about how it was removed because of paint issues and the history of it. Also liked the handy tips for how to turn off rides like that. I have the zombie plane ride and had no idea of how to run it so your tip was really helpful.

I think a spooky carnival theme is my personal favorite. Great video!

Congratulations Doug on your latest find! You looked like a kid at Christmas time! Just a suggestion...when you pack it away after the season, you might toss in a few silicon pkgs. I have the Octopus ride too and found the pkgs helped maintain the stickiness level...since we both live in Mo...we know how humidity can treat our collection. You were chock ful of information in this video and I will power down from this point on!!! 🙂👍

This is one of the best reviews you have ever made! Cycling down is very important on many of the extremely animated pieces, like the RIP Mausoleum and maybe dead as a door nail morgue-? Not sure on that one. Anyways, a stellar video as always. I was able to get a good deal on one of my unicorns the dead mans mine (2006) on ebay, which is not retired and as nowhere close to as rare as the oct-o-squeeze, but it is fairly expensive and difficult to get. Ughhh, still remember my Micahels being stocked with them, and when I went back a 2nd time they were all gone, so wish I would have picked it up as soon as I saw it. Funny thing is back then, I thought I was lucky that I didnt get one because they were pulled. I figured they would fix issues and re release. :(

Congrats on scoring that awesome piece! I'm lucky enough to have one as well and love it. I think the only carnival piece I'm missing is the Chuckles Fun House and don't think that's gonna happen for me. But I think the cycling issue is what killed my Wild Pumpkin Ride last year. The plug got accidentally pulled from the wall and when plugged back in...nothing. :(

Nice, wasn't really expecting it to be this, still really cool, I have noticed that a lot of the buildings that weren't sold at Michael's that are from around 2011 have become extremely rare, the S.S. Specter is one I would like to know more about I haven't seen any videos or anything of it, at this point I'm questioning if it was even made, also I believe a have a pretty rare piece which is the black castle, and that's one I know has a cycle to turn off, there are a few doors that open (one being a dragon that comes out the top) and you have to wait for it all to go back in until it can turn off

I also own this piece. It is my favorite ride in all of my carnival setup. Mine has sound and lights but quit moving. I can’t bear to part with it and was wondering if there is anyway to fix it? If not I will continue to love it as is. 🥰

I found an octo squeeze on eBay but the moter that makes it spin was dead as mentioned in the discription but the guy who's selling it said that he always cicled it down so it must of been from age

Great I been out from buying spooky villages for sometime now I find myself back in.

My Oct-O-Squeeze worked great for many years until I accidentally turned it off and back on again to quickly and fried its motor. I was so upset at myself at the time because I knew immediately what I had done.
