On April 13, 2017, The University of Scranton’s Schemel Forum in collaboration with Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine hosted Harmar Brereton, MD for a talk titled The Odyssey by Homer: A History and Physical Exam. The lecture explores The Odyssey as an extraordinary work of art as well as an insight into human nature. Dr. Brereton describes how both those aspects of The Odyssey have implications for the practice of medicine.
