I have to explain as Finnish: In February 1918 in middle of Finnish Civil War between Conservative Whites and Communist Reds, Whites received present from our neighbour Sweden. Swedish Count Carl Gustaf Bloomfield Eric von Rosen donated airplane to "Forces of the Republic" (Whites). And btw it wasn't fighter airplane, it was scout plain and I'm sure you're disappointed as I. Anyway that Swedish Count with fancy name painted to plane his symbol of luck: Blue Swastika with white background. So this became symbol of Finnish Air Force until in Armistice of Moscow 1944 and Treaty of Paris 1947 Finland was forced to change Swastika from planes, but it could still be on the flag. So lesson of our story is: Everything is always fault of Swedish. (Very Finnish lesson)

Swastika a symbol that demonstrate good health and well being in Hinduism. In India every hindu have this on on their entry gate as a sign of prosperity and peace . The other meaning is 20th century germany (जर्मनिया). Only one of these two reason is why finland uses it on their air force flag. It's always better to stick with good reason.

I’d like to note(like other people in the comments have said) that a swastika used in that orientation could also mean they just *really* like Hinduism as in Hinduism that’s pacific ordination of the swastika is used for peace and prosperity.

The nazi swastika is slightly tilted on it's axis, it's a pretty common symbol in India but also used to be common in most of Europe and the middle-east. There might be some confusion from a distance but it's not the same thing.
