I gotta say Dex, one year younger than my dad, and still rocking hard. I'm 22 and I've grown up listening to your music, from the first album till now, never ceases to amaze me. The Offspring are a HUGE part of my childhood and now into my adult hood. Still know all the words to 95% of your songs.

I remember reading a professional clown's life story as he told it online, clown college is apparently a very arduous degree to get and most applicants only make it through most of the time due to already being from a circus family. Of about 50 applicants only him and 3 others made it in and only 2 got offers from the Ringling Brothers circus. The rest of his story is really sad shit, bumming around the country by train cars, Hurricane Katrina, years of depression, etc.

rise and fall rage and grace is my favorite album from them. while i love the older stuff, i think that album showed how much they havve matured. as for this song, it returns them to their original roots and celebrates their style while also growing. to be honest, i always enjoy simple songs like these. p.s. did anyone else hear donkey kong?

Years ago I had a buddy, who was that sort of guy who'd always run his mouth and had no off-switch, but at the same time couldn't fight his way free of a strong breeze. He got his ass beat all the damn time. He never learned. I suspect people didn't go too hard on him, cause he was like a parody of stupidity. One summer night, on the weekend, we were walking from a party, across town to where we were parked, and passed behind this tiny filthy bar. Three rodeo clowns, who'd probably just gotten off work at the county fair, were drinking out back. And my buddy just couldn't keep his mouth shut... Normally, anybody who knew him, would just stand back and let it happen. But, just this once, I helped him out. Goddamn, those clowns were tough as nails!

That Mime would be a kickass supervillain, or hero. The Offspring guys have had a good life. It must be awesome to be flying your own plane, eating a burger with your own hot sauce (that's pretty damn good I might add), and say to your best friend, "What if we just film a bunch of clowns beating the shit out of each other?" No worries at all. I do miss the old Offspring raw punk days, but the bandmates are too cool to hate. Their interviews and stuff always crack me up. Truly just a bunch of guys having fun in life and not caring too deeply about anything.

I'll admit, this song had to kind of grow on me a bit. I didn't like it at first, it seemed kind of... subdued. But the the more I heard it, and digested the lyrics, the more I thought about jobs I had in the past and people I'd met and all just kinda clicked. Now it's one of my faves, right up there with divide by zero and gotta get away.

All of Offspring video's are awesome. All of the directors seem to get the Offspring's personality. I love this video, which is weird cause I don't really like clowns. Their video's always look like a lot of fun. And this is a timeless classic song that will end up being in a lot movies.

I have't been able to stop listening to this and "Dividing by Zero/Slim Pickens" for the last few days, but "Dividing by Zero/Slim Pickens" most because I want to figure out the story. Keep it up. dex, just want to let you know i was around 5 when i first heard conspiracy of one, every since then ive followed every song, album, music video etc... you guys are amazing and your music definitely helped me though some rough times but also marked the best times of my childhood. you guys will forever be my favorite band. thanks so much for all of the good years and quality music guys

@Jose Raul Miguens Cruz, you all didn't get it. In a world filled with deadly clowns, being a ninja mime is nice, but it won't take you much farther. Whenever you can, be the fighting room! Even if blown up, you still are solid as a rock.
