'The One" I thought was good. John Marrs is an amazing writer. How he manages to have so much going on in this book and keep that many plots interesting. I will be watching the series.

I think those couples are matches because one person initially didn’t know about the match (Alex didn’t know it was Nick when he met him and Jade didn’t know it was the brother), and they felt the spark.

Just read the book this week. Finished watching the series yesterday. WOW, they changed SO MUCH!! I don't know who was the fool that said lets ditch the Christopher storyline for the adaptation. And I agree with you about the Nick/Sally thing. I'm glad it worked out in the end for Nick but was there nobody in Sally's family who could've raised that baby? The friend that was the baby daddy was a garbage person for disowning him. The one founder in the TV show was a true villain and not even one I could root for. I felt so bad for her match and how dirty she did him. He only learned too late what kind of person she really was. If they make a second season I'll watch it but I hope she doesn't get off scot free. The twist storyline about tampering with match results would have been amazing in the show. Oh well.

I absolutely loved the book - can’t believe how different the tv show is. I enjoyed it, but definitely not true to the book! Both very separate entities I think xx

I read this book I think early last year it is an interesting concept , definitely makes you think what you would do, I like the serial killer parts too

I really liked this book! My husband and I I listened to it on a road trip last year before everything shut down for COVID and so it brings back good memories. I’m excited to watch the Netflix adaptation

I too had mixed feelings about this one but it was nevertheless an entertaining read on audio. I'm planning on watching the series with my hubby too :) We recently finished the Behind Her Eyes adaptation which I much preferred to the book.

I really enjoyed the book. It was such a page-turning read. It makes for a great book club discussion: Would you do the test if you were in a happy relationship? etc. I cannot wait to watch the show!

Ok! I stopped the video now! Lol. I haven't read the book yet. I got the notification from Netflix this morning. I need to read the book first. Several months back there was a similar TV show like The One on AMC. I can't remember the name of the show. I thought it was the John Marrs one until I did some research but it wasn't so, I didn't end up watching it. You have to let us know what you think about the Netflix adaptation.

I wish Mandy would have gotten more time and also Christopher. Also wait all of them. First book in a while I wished would have lasted longer. I wish Netflix didn’t botch the series.

I don't know about season two but this is a standalone. That said, this world exists in his other books like The Passengers and The Minders.

I really liked this book. What i dont get April is you seem to have enjoyed it so much and liked the stories, so why only 3 stars?

It was the pacing. And also it didn’t feel as dark as I wanted it to until closer to the end

I read it. I had similar thoughts to you (as I often do) but I only gave it 2 stars as I am very miserable with my ratings 🙈😂 will watch the series with my husband as he’s not a reader 👨🏫 sadly 🙃

Alex and nick were definitely matched cause both were thinking abt each other through the all time that they were separated ( as we assume by the ending, when alex was glad to see Nick )

I loved the book. I hated his newest one. Someone mentioned the book on a book group and the author jumped in with a rude comment towards my opinion being wrong. His attitude turned me off of his books.

Fantastic read. I feel bereaved now i have finished it. I think Nick, Jade, Christopher and Amy are my favorites charatchers. Mandy is plain looney. Ellie ..... immoral, cold conceited. Tim/Matthew is plain stupid. I liked Alex as well and actually glad they got together.

Watching this after watching the Netflix series, sounds like the book was NOTHINGGGGG like the show AT ALL. None of the couple stories sounded like any of the couples in the show. Crazy! I have not read the book but now that I know it’s nothing like the show, I have mixed feelings on if I want to or not!

Not a big fan of The One...and the Netflix series was not great, and so different from the book! . No Christopher 🙁. The Netflix show does not follow the book characters! Really disappointed. Let us know what you think of the show.

It was not great. I was excited for this series, and maybe that’s why I feel a let down, because it didn’t live up to the book.

I have been waiting for this video 🤣 I agree that it didn't really feel like a thriller but I enjoyed this one a lot! I suspected that Matthew was a fake match from the beginning but still found this such an interesting idea. I would 100% take the test haha
