Hey, Matt, just wanna say I really appreciate your approach to solo playing here. Sometimes I feel like we're required to embellish and narrate every single roll we make, but seeing you just rolling some travel rolls, interpreting the result and moving along without stopping to describe every scene in detail... was quite refreshing, to be honest. There's nothing wrong with either style, to be clear, I just feel like it was a welcomed change of approach from other APs I follow.

I really, really like this. I have one thought though, I have interpreted the map as as long as you keep to the Green road you are in wild lands, but if you stroll from the path you quickly end up in dark lands. But that is just a thought. It would be cool and maybe invigorating for Finnulf and Borin, if the stag keeps popping up now and again. Maybe even a new song. And if things go really, really sour maybe the wargs finds the stag and the deer... or the stag intervenes for our hero, but..

Thanks! Looking at the map again now, I think you're right, but I like treating that stretch of road as more dangerous, so I'll keep trying it as Dark Lands. I was thinking along similar lines with the stag (great minds!), to make it a recurring good omen. But the converse of it being found half eaten by Wargs is also a great idea and a twist for me to keep in mind. Thanks!

I find 2 clicks of the fingers works for the first line’s rhythm for 4 syllables :D

Chloe... This is awesome. I'm astounded. Thanks so much! Just need to figure out a melody and then I'll see if I can record an acapella version of it (a duet sung in character) to use as a show intro going forward!

and a duet and song sounds awesome, i don’t really know what tune, i guess a dwarven sounding one i was kinda going with, very simple deep melody, like one of the dwarven songs in the hobbit

Great episode Matt. Really like the "bread crumbs" that you've created to quickly highlight your route (and mark events). I noticed you had stated that an increase from 1 to 2 Wisdom or Valour only costed 2 Adventure points. I interpreted it as 8 points to increase to that level when I increased for my PH. Hoping I'm wrong on that (and then subsequently get more AP back for what I spent!) Look forward to these, really interested on how things play out in Tharbad!

Hey my friend. I'm looking everywhere for friendly NPC rules for traveling/fighting etc in the rulebook and in the strider documents but not having much luck, could you point me in the right direction possibly? Also is the NPC character sheet something that's core rules or did you homebrew that?

Hey, the only place this is discussed is in the core rulebook on p136 (Loremaster Characters Providing Assistance). However, I've expanded on this in my houserule document, which you'll find in the description. The NPC character sheet is the one provided in Foundry.

You're right, totally skipped past that. Ah well, as it was the start of Autumn, maybe it was a particularly warm and mild week. 😉 I'll definitely implement this in the next Journey. Thanks for the catch!
