In this episode, I decide to hitchhike during my pilgrimage to Mecca. First step was to get out of Jeddah by public transport. Afterwards with my thumb out, many friendly people stopped and wanted to help, and I finally got my ride.
Later that night, I arrived at The Kaaba, the holiest site in Islam, and finished my Umrah.

في هذه الحلقة، قررت أن أقوم بالاوتو ستوب خلال عمرتي إلى مكة. كانت الخطوة الأولى هي الخروج من جدة بواسطة وسائل النقل العام. بعد ذلك، بعد أن رفعت إبهامي، توقف العديد من الأشخاص الودودين وأرادوا المساعدة، وأخيراً حصلت على توصيلة.

I think I'm most surprised by the fact that so many people stopped for you; for some reason I didn't expect that but I think the ihram clothes probably helped.

Hello, I’m not from the Middle East, what is the language difference between Egypt and Saudi Arabia? It seems like there was a language barrier, but maybe I am ignorant to think all middle eastern countries spoke the same language. Thank you for any educational information!

hii, i am from the middle east (lebanese) , and yes we all mostly speak the same language (Arabic) , however only the accents differ between countries , so each country has its own slang and dialect . Hope this helps

@@dimahachem2216 thank you very much! I speak English and Spanish. I was born in the USA but my family came from the Dominican Republic. So I like to learn as much about other cultures as I can. I have a few Lebanese friends and I love their culture as much as they love my Dominican culture haha. Thanks again!
