I feel like this is something many don't seem to understand. The loneliness being described is simply a product of being the strongest being with no equal. It is actually important for all the strongest characters in the series. We are given three specific examples of how characters who are the strongest of their era move towards handling this loneliness. Sukuna cares only for himself and devotes himself entirely to his own pursuits, Gojo - who had an equal at one point - strives to build Jujutsu society up to one day match him, and Kashimo was searching for an answer but never found it (a sort of purgatory between Gojo and Sukuna). It is about more than "i want a friend". It is about what to pursue and what causes you to pursue it. The concept of "love" used in this case is about characters projecting their own search onto Sukuna. This is straight up said by Sukuna after fighting Kashimo. Sukuna's answer for "love" and "loneliness" is simply to be what he is - a hedonistic monster who cares only for his whims.

Fantastic video man, if Gege is going down this path it will be brilliant so I hope this is true. A good take on the “Power of Friendship trumps all!” trope in anime, where unconditional love has true power behind it, and while such love may appear as weakness on the surface (Sukuna’s view), it actually leads to ultimate strength.

I think the main crux here is the difference of 'want' and 'need'. Seems like the jujutsu world of the modern age is heavily focused on 'need', either needing to exist to fight curses, needing to stop the merger, need to prove themselves, need to defend my nakamas or whatever. It's usually agreed upon in psychology that needs are what gives someone the necessary requirements to survival, including security and self-preservation. It's also nice to point out that curse spirits, even the ones as highly intelligent and self-driving as Mahito and the other disasters also operate on this need base mentality. On the other hand, we see a complete opposite of ideals in characters like Sukuna and Kenjaku. A 'want' is described as something not exactly essential, but that adds enjoyment, convenience, or a purpose to life. Sukuna doesn't have any needs, as survival and self preservation is a total non-issue. The same goes for Kenjaku, his whole gimmick was predicated on making his self preservation a cakewalk. And at the same time, both of them are single-handedly only living to satisfy their wants, either the want to do as you please, or the want to create something great. If love is the greatest curse, then to 'need' feels like a strong second (according to the themes) (or I suck at interpretation)

And if there´s no other that can stand at your level, how can you love that which you don´t respect, how can someone claim to love you when they don´t understand you? And if they´re weak/unemotional/cowardly/evil or any other of those hateful qualities, their "love" suddenly turns into a disgusting insult.

im a greek and i just need to clear things up filia (philia) is pronounced fielEEa, its literal translation is friendship eros is more commonly known as erOtas, it literally means "an erotic relationship" storge is pronounced storyiE, the definition is correct in the picture you showed agape is pronounced agApee, and it's a pretty bland general term that literally means "love" but it's most commonly used for marriage, or a more controlled version of erotas.

Random fun fact: While the Greek term philia denotes brotherly or sibling love/affection, the Latin adaptation of word specifically refers to one's children ie figlio(a)/filho(a)/fil(le)/hijo(a) in Italian, Portuguese, French, and Spanish, respectively. These being the words for "son" & "daughter".

I really love this theory... Let me take it one step further. First, Yuji isn't Agape, he's Storge, Yuji represents familial love perfectly, especially for Sukuna since he's implied to now have his CT, something that's normally a familial trait (it also kinda lends towards the brothers theory, which is pretty cool imo,, although thematically, this still holds water wven if the brothers thing ends up being wrong). But why isn't Yuji Agape,, he represents unconditional selfless love perfectly, well, this comes down to these being poorly defined here, especially considering the original greek meanings (these are unclear though and are sometimes used interchangably) where Agape is romantic love, it is longing and desire, and although it is selfless and unconditional, it's more often referring to love in spousal relationships. As well, Storge fits much better into Yuji's dream of being surrounded by his loved ones as he dies. Now, I think that Sukuna must experience all types of love before being defeated, much as one of his most important foils did in Gojo (Geto as Philia, Toji as Eros [for reasons I will explain when I get to Sukuna's Eros], Megumi as Storge, and Sukuna as his Agape [which will once again be explained later], you could switch Geto and Sukuna's spots here as well and I think it fits just as well, if not better, especiallyif you think Gojo and Geto were gay for eachother [neither of these two ever showed ANY interest in women....). Now, I think every type of love has been shown now, except of course for Yuji's Storge. To start, I think Megumi is Agape. Agape as I stated before is yearning and longing, it's a romantic love, much in the way Sukuna longed and chased after Megumi for so long. As well, Sukuna, once getting ahold of Megumi, became one with him, joining together through a ceremony to become blood (yes, I'm implying Sukuna sybolically married Megumi). Ultimately, as well, I think Gojo viewed Sukuna in this same way (I think this is the biggest streth in this "theory" [it's really more of an analysis], but I think it still works),, it was just unrequited, and so Gojo moved on. Gojo wanted to use Sukuna through Yuji, the same way Sukuna wanted to use Megumi. Next, I think Maki is Eros, Eros is spontaneous, it's temporary, it's selfish, it's primal. I feel like Eros describes perfectly how Maki and Sukuna fight, Sukuna's clearly excited, he's gotten of multiple black flashes for god's sake, and he's clearly having a ton of fun, but past the superficial pleasureof the fight as it happens, there's also nothing there, they're both just a booty call to the other. Of course Gojo is Sukuna's Philia for the reasons stated in the video and Yuji is the true familial Sturge love that has been the thematic backdrop for this entire series. Final notes: I think Yuji may have also had all 4, obviously having a ton of Sturge, but then having Mahito as Eros or Agape and Megumi as Philia, but I fail to think of someone who could be the fourth. I think Yorozu is a bad fit for Eros, as it's a bad fit from Sukuna's end, he doesn't desire her at all, Yorozu definitely feels Agape towards Sukuna tho. I also feel that Higuruma could be Eros for Sukuna or Agape for Yuji, but I don't think either works that well.

I saw a theory recently that originally the merger happened and yuji was sent back in time to the hein era to stop kenjaku and instead while consuming curses and trying to grow in strength to stop the merger and save everyone, he lost his humanity, stopped caring and became bitter and selfish. Then the story as we know it starts and plays out up to this point. So i love the idea of sukuna learning from his past self that he has lost his way. (I doubt this is how the story will go but its certainly interesting)

Yorozu’s love was superficial and she only loved power not the person (Eros) Gojo feels love for others but it soon became blurred as he too was only loved for his strength (Philos) Sukuna has the love of himself and he does what he pleases and Sukuna values only himself at the end of the day (king of self love and storge) Yuji is the anthesis of Sukuna’s well personality because he loves others and is willing to put others above himself but he won’t discard his humanity (Agape)

Question regarding the last chapter, Choso used convergence to condense blood for Yuji to use in piercing blood, implying that either Choso manipulated his own blood, which Yuji then manipulated, or Choso condensed Yuji's blood for him to shoot. In either scenario, one is manipulating the other's blood, right? Could this be an upgrade for blood manipulation.

This makes too much sense and it gave me a thought. "Teach you about love" could imply that Yuji will turn Sukuna into a good person (not talk-no-jutsu but by getting him to question his ideals (already happening) and then adopt a "better" approach) and he will join them to fight whatever calamity Kenjaku releases. I think that "thing" is going to be far more horrific than people think and Sukuna will be needed, maybe even Gojo, to take it down. Sukuna proceeds to then make the ultimate sacrifice as his expression of agape love.

People should understand when Yuta said Love is a twisted curse. Love makes you crazy and whatever you love you will do everything for it, even the unimaginable things can happen

I don’t quite have the energy to fully form this thought but Toji’s story is a mini version of this entire narrative arc. Toji shed all love to become the strongest. Once he was defeated he was only then able to find peace through an act of love (self-sacrifice for his estranged son)

Love played a role with Yuta and Rikka Love played a role with Mai giving herself for her sister maki Love played a role when choso sacrificed himself for his brothers Love will play a role when yuji uncondtionally sacrifices himself for the sake of others. Thus fullfilling his grandpas curse of dying around others. Finishing Gege's theory of either 1 dies and all live or all die and one live--That one being megumi foreshadowed by the culling game restriction.

One thing to add, he showed even kashimo hipocrisy by showing that he got plenty of love cuz people defied kashimo, showing their love and kashimo juz brushed them off without even acknowledging them. So sukuna does the same. Sukuna shows that there are plenty of interesting humans and there is a lot to eat and feast until he dies, and he is teaching them about love too in this twisted way

Theory : yuji might be made from the remains of sukunas humanity , almost like an opposite reflection. He could have performed some type of ritual and some sort of cursed object was the result of that . Like with the bath to suppress megumi, . Remember Sukuna and urauma spoke about yuji being from that time and how kenjaku does the grossest things . That could explain the connection they have soul wise with yuji having such control over the fingers and being able to stand sukunas cursed energy .

Nobody is going to defeat him. The star, sun, and moon squads they mentioned in the harvest festival were "subjugation units", subjugation isnt a good term, its violent, and its demanding submission of the local ruler. Heian era Sukuna isnt what we see in the modern era, the legend we heard in the beginning, and kennys BV are somehow related i can feel it in my bones. Sukuna acknowleges peoples strength and their ideals, tells them who they are and whether or not it the interaction was worth his time, this is his idea of love, practices it and still finds it worthless. Its going to be Yuji having strength via ideals alone somewhat of a never back down attitude, yuji will not submit lile sukuna wants. Somehow Yuji's caring nature will get through to him. When the merger happens and his BV with kenjaku is complete i think something mindblowing is going to happen regarding Sukunas personality.

I think Sukuna will be humbled not just by Yuji, but by Yuji, Yuta, and Maki. This is because they each represent love in some way. Yuta represents romantic love, due to his domain and rika, and he's probably going to come back. Maki represents friend love, she was rejected by her family, yet continues fighting for her friends. Yuji represents family love, because I think he is actually either sourced from sukunas dead brother, or from his own finger, as well yuji has a reoccurring theme of being someone's brother(choso, todo). As well they each represent the opposite to Sukuna in some way. Yuta, doesn't fight alone. Maki, no cursed energy. Yuji, different ideology. Another reason I believe it will be these three is because jjk has an unspoken running theme of, fighting alone is stupid as hell. What is jjk known for. Jumpings. Jujutsu Jumping is a term thrown around a lot, but it's true. Sure someone always lands the final blow, but Everytime there is an overwhelming victory it is because they didn't fight alone. As well, all three show some form of synergy in some way. Maki and Yuji have only fought together a couple of times, but they have shown to be extremely in sync with each other. Same with yuta and Yuji. Maki and yuta have fought together multiple times. So I think together the three will beat sukunas ass and will teach him love.
