Also, as a father to 2 kids, I can appreciate the grind to fit YT in with a packed schedule. I put the kids to bed before 8pm hopefully and then have 2 hours to film before bed. 😅

As family father P3 is the best camcorder to buy to record kids life. I sometimes use tripod and Active Track to kid and it just follows it so good that after 40 minutes it was still following it.

If you play w gimbal settings you can eliminate that forward movement issue

Is it always in -2 EV no matter what or does it change?

You have gotten me to test out -2 EV on the pocket. I normally leave it at -0.3 all the time with normal colors

I still play around with the settings a fair bit but -2 seems to be the perfect balance I've found

Minor misspoken bit at 2 minutes, the 1" sensor is the same size as the sensor in the ZV-1 series, not the ZV-E1, which as said earlier is "full frame" size.

Good review. One issue I have run into is the extended battery that comes with the creator combo will drain to zero if you have it connected and aren't using it. I thought it would just charge up the camera then once it got to 100% it would stop, but it just keeps draining. I have strategies to get around it, but it is annoying.

That is an issue I've found too. Hopefully they fix it in a firmware update.

When this came out, I was very interested. Only thing that stopped me was the built-in battery. My wishlist for the next version are removable batteries, 2 camera gimbal (wide and ultrawide) which they can just swap from their Air series drones. That'll be perfect.

I just purchased it and got the Creator Combo. It comes with a longer handle that has an extra battery built in which you see him using in the video. It gives the camera 2-3 hours of continuous usage, if you really need more than that you probably shooting wedding videos and may want to purchase another extended battery or portable battery pack. The Combo also comes with a Wide Angle Lens adapter that extends to 15mm.

@@Howtoeverythingeverywhere I am a motorcycle traveller. In a lot of remote places and in high mountain areas charging a device is difficult and due to the cold, batteries also dont last that long. THere are many use cases where a removable battery makes sense. Also the additional longer handle battery makes it well, longer. Not suitable for my needs on my motorcycle.

That's interesting I never tried them with the WA Lens. There might be some companies that have made WA specific ones.

I have a big problem with the fact that we don't have the slomo at 100fps and that's a problem with the PAL area.

Does it even matter anymore ? The pocket 3 gives you access to all frame rates without the need to switch regions

I really want to get this camera. I’m saving up for it. I’ve heard rumors of focus hunting. Is that a real problem?

I have issues with my P2 but the P3 does a good job, which I use most of the time anyway. The P2 is the one my wife uses to get B Roll.

Most of the vloggers using this camera *sadly* look at the viewfinder instead of the camera lense while recording, and thus they all look as if they are looking below the lense: its a bit stupid, I wish people remember they must look at the lense haha!
